National Geodetic Survey Stations ARP -1956 and Control Point F 1963were used as fixed control for this traverse. They were establishedby the National Geodetic Survey Airport Survey Section and are locatedalong a runway of the Erie International Airport. Permission to usethe marks was obtained from a Mr. Coffman who is Chief of the ErieAirport Authority. The runway along which the marks are set was closeddown to air traffic until we had finished our work, thanks again toMr. Coffman. 12 traverse stations were established on this projectusing railroad spikes, iron pipes and rebar. These marks are describedfor future recovery.

A compass rule adjustment was performed on the traverse with a closureof 1:61,000.

Control Point F 1963 was used as the base for levels, the elevationof the mark was established by the National Geodetic Survey and theelevation is 727.54 feet. A loop of approximately 5.5 miles was ranbeginning and closing on Control Point F 1963 with a closure of16 millimeters.
