    Broad Overview of the Office of theController of Accounts, Odisha.

    The Office was created by a Resolution of the FinanceDeptt. No. 45220/F., dated 6.12.1991.

    Earlier it was under the Directorate of Treasuries upto 1994.

    It became a separate Heads of Department in 1994vide Finance Deptt. Order No. 24103/F., dt - 06.07.1994.

    Functions

    Functions of this office include :- Authorization of Pensionary benefits

    Maintenance of G.P.F Accounts

    The above two functions relate to the employees of :-

    Non-Govt. Aided/Taken over Educational Institutions.

    Educational Institutions earlier managed by UrbanLocal Bodies.

    Non-Govt. Aided Educational Institutions managedby Minority Communities.

    NB :- A meeting under the Chairmanship of Principal Secretary Finance Deptt. washeld on 30.07.2012 and it has been decided to dispose of all the pending cases byIdcol Software Ltd. within 3 to 4 months as one time measure. Out of the pendingcases, 10% of the cases shall be scrutinised by the regular staff to ensure 95%correctness. Current cases shall be disposed of by the regular staff.
