www.ConventionofStates.com Convention of States Project Overview Purpose: The Convention of States Project was found ed by Citizens for Self Governance for the purpose of stopping the runaway power of the federal government. Washington, D.C., is broken and will not fix itself. The federal government is spending this country into the ground, seizing power from the states, and taking liberty from the people. We have a solution as big as the problem. Goal: The Convention of States Project seeks to urge and empower state legislators to call a Convention of States. If 34 state legislatures pass resolutions (called applications ) calling for such a convention, Congress must  call the convention as per Article V of the Constitution. Delegates to the Convention of States will propose constitutional amendments to reduce the  power and jurisdiction of the Federal Government. Plan: Our plan is twofold: 1. Rather than calling a convention for a particular amendment, we are calling a convention for a particular subject: limiting the power and jurisdiction of the federal government. Any amendments that accomplish this goal can be discuss at the convention. 2. The grassroots is the key to success. We will build a political operation in every state across the country, recruiting 100 people to v olunteer in at least 75% of the state legislative districts. With the support of Americans like you, this project will succeed.

Convention of States Project Overview

Purpose:

The Convention of States Project was founded by Citizens for Self Governance for the purpose

of stopping the runaway power of the federal government. Washington, D.C., is broken and willnot fix itself. The federal government is spending this country into the ground, seizing power

from the states, and taking liberty from the people.

We have a solution as big as the problem.

Goal:

The Convention of States Project seeks to urge and empower state legislators to call a

Convention of States. If 34 state legislatures pass resolutions (called “applications”) calling for

such a convention, Congress must  call the convention as per Article V of the Constitution.

Delegates to the Convention of States will propose constitutional amendments to reduce the

power and jurisdiction of the Federal Government.

Plan:

Our plan is twofold:

1.  Rather than calling a convention for a particular amendment, we are calling a convention

for a particular subject: limiting the power and jurisdiction of the federal government.Any amendments that accomplish this goal can be discuss at the convention.

2.  The grassroots is the key to success. We will build a political operation in every state

across the country, recruiting 100 people to volunteer in at least 75% of the state

legislative districts. With the support of Americans like you, this project will succeed.
