Dear Graduates,

On behalf of Malvern International Academy, we would like to welcome everyone to

this graduation ceremony. We congratulate and celebrate all that you have achieved as you pass

from graduands to graduates. Graduation is the culmination of hard work and a major milestone

to success. It is a proud moment for you and for all your family and friends who have supported

you over the years.

This guideline is prepared as an effort to help the graduates in planning and attending

the ceremony. Our goal is to provide a graduation ceremony that is both dignified and

memorable; your support in attaining that goal is greatly appreciated.

We hope that this information will be able to guide you. However, please remember,

these are just some of the general guidelines. This guideline does not cover all the possibilities

and/or questions which may arise in your individual case. If you have any questions we will be

4. Convocation fees payment:

- RM550 (early bird RM500 if payment

made before 3rd December 2017) to

attend the Convocation Ceremony on 16th

December 2017.

before 8th December 2017. All cheque should

5. Tracer study & Alumni Form a) Fill up graduate information on the Tracer

studies website starting from 4th to 15th

December 2017 : http://graduan.mohe.gov.my

(all programmes except Vocational

programmes).

b) Bring along the printed copy of tracer study &

Alumni Form (Appendix 3); and submit during

registration.

1.0 Convocation Fees, Photography and Graduation Gown

1.1 Convocation ceremony Attendance and Fees:

1.1.1 RM550 (early bird RM500 if payment made before 3rd December 2017)

to attend a Convocation Ceremony on 16th December 2017.

1.2 Convocation ceremony Fees include the following items:

1.2.1 Entrance to the main hall and the Hi-Tea Hall for 3 people including the

graduate. Additional guest would be charged RM150 per person.

1.2.2 Photography

a. 1 copy of 8R (8” x 10”) stage photo (Full pose)

b. 1 copy of 8R (8” x 10”) stage photo (Half pose)

c. 1 copy of 8RW (8” x 12”) group photo

d. 1 copy of CD (2 individual photo)

1.2.3 Graduation Gown

e. 1 suit of black gown

f. 1 piece of color hood

g. 1 piece of mortar board

h. Charges will be applied for any damage / loss of gown set

2.0 Collection of Graduates Robe

2.1 Please be informed that the distribution of the robes will be made on the ‘first

come first serve’ according to your size chosen. It is advisable for graduates to

collect the robes as early as possible. A deposit of RM200 or driving license or

MyKad will be collected from the student for the rental of graduation attire. This

deposit is fully refundable after the rental items are returned.

2.2 Graduates may collect his/her robe after their registration at Student Robing

Room.

3.0 Returning of Graduates Academician Robe

3.1 Graduates have to return the robes immediately after the convocation ceremony

at Pullman Three - Student Robing room.

3.2 Failures to return the robe on time will result in fine or suspension of your

transcript and certificate.

3.3 You can collect your driving license or Identification Card or refund your

RM200 deposit after return the robe in good condition.

4.0 Rehearsal & Convocation Ceremony

4.1 The tentative for rehearsal and the convocation ceremony as follows:

Date : 16th December 2017

Registration Time : 8.00 AM

Rehearsal Time : 8.30 AM

4.2 The rehearsal is COMPULSORY for all graduates. Those who fail to attend the

rehearsal will NOT be allowed to join the ceremony.

5.0 Parking System

5.1 Parking charge is at flat rate of RM10.00 net per entry with validation during the

event.

6.0 Graduates Dress Code and Appearance

6.1 All graduates must observe the following Dress Code:

6.1.1 Attire

Male Graduates:

Formal Attire

o Black-colored long pants

o White-colored long sleeve shirt

o Neck Tie

Female Graduates:

Formal attire

o Black-colored long pants/skirt

o White-colored long sleeve shirt/blouse

OR

Traditional Attire

6.1.2 Shoes

Male Graduates:

Formal Black-Colored Leather shoes.

Female Graduates:

Formal Black-Colored Leather shoes.

6.2 All graduates must observe the following Appearance:

7.0 Parents / Guests Attire

*Children below 12 years old are not allowed to enter the hall during the convocation

ceremony.

8.0 Rules and Etiquette during the Convocation Ceremony

8.1 To ensure that the ceremony, which is a once in a lifetime event for many of you,

is conducted with dignity, honour and solemnity that you as well as your parents

certainly deserve after a long and an arduous struggle, the College requests that

you give your full cooperation not only by personally observing the rules of

etiquette listed below:

a. Persons leaving the hall or moving about during the Convocation

Ceremony will destroy its solemnity, dignity and honour. Therefore, your

guests and you are kindly requested to remain seated in the hall until the

ceremony is completed.

b. You, as well as your guests, are advised to go to the toilet before the

ceremony so that you can fully comply with the above rule.

c. The taking of photographs or any form of audio-visual recording by

anybody other than the officially appointed photographs is strictly

prohibited.
