ABOUT:WOOLABOUT NEW ZEALAND WOOL FOR CARPETS

Wool: The dense, soft hair forming

the coat of a sheep. Wool is a unique

natural performance fibre, perfect

for high quality carpets.

New Zealand wool is a fibre that has

natural insulating properties which

reduce heat loss, condensation

and noise, providing improved air

quality and a comfortable home

environment.

DURABLE

NATURAL

Wool is a very complex physical and

chemical structure which allows it

to perform many vital functions in

the home. It is composed of over

20 amino acids, that form chains

of protein. It’s this that makes

wool so versatile. Carpet made

from man made fibres are only

simple structures, therefore their

performance characteristics are very

limited.

New Zealand wool is a fibre with

bulk and resilience offering superior

durability and performance. A

Coopworth & Perendale wool carpet

will reduce the effects of tracking

and shading, providing longer

lasting appearance retention.

Naturally the best New Zealand wool

is a totally home grown, natural and

environmentally friendly fibre.

Installation / Laying:It is recommended that this carpet be laid in accordance with A.S. 2455-1995 unless otherwise specified.

Shading or Tracking:Light can play strange tricks with carpet, making it appear from certain angles, that particular areas of pile are lighter or darker than others, (just as light does with corduroy or velvet fabrics). This ‘shading’ or ‘tracking’ is not a manufacturing fault, it is the result of pressure on the pile during use and is regarded as a feature of all cut-pile carpets.

Cleaning:Carpet should be cleaned and maintained in accordance with A.S. 3733: 1995.1, or as instructed by Coopworth & Perendale.
