A message from Dr. Jennifer Atkins, Principal

This has already been a successful academic year for the kids at Copper Ridge! We have less than 40 instructional days left, and we plan to fill them with amazing lessons and activities. We wanted to let you know about some of the progress we have made to-wards our STAR School Plan for 2015-2016. We have a lot to be proud of this year!

Multi-leveled instruction to meet the needs of all students in ELA and Math. Our goal is to grow all kids at all levels at a rate faster than the district average. At our mid-year check, Copper Ridge Elementary kids were scoring AT/ABOVE the district in BOTH Reading and Math in growth and achievement scores!!!

Develop the capacity of K-5 teachers in ELA (English/Language Arts/Reading) instruction. We have amazing teachers already, but we are never satisfied and always strive to be better. We will focus our training on reading instruction throughout the year.
