INNOVATION &ENTREPRENEURSHIP COMPETITION
C H I N A ' I N T E R N E T P L U S ' U N I V E R S I T Y G R A D U A T E S
We are seeking young kiwi innovators to join us on a trip to
Hangzhou, China in October 2019 to attend, and pitch at the
world’s largest start-up competition for university students
and recent graduates.
The local competition commences each year in March, with
applicants from numerous Chinese Universities. The local teams
spend 6 months in the competition, which culminates with a
final event held each year in October. The top 100 Chinese
teams are then joined by 100 international teams at this event,
which is a huge 2-day start-up festival.
Last year’s competition witnessed the participation of 2,278
universities from over 50 countries. More than 2.65 million
Chinese college graduates signed up for the domestic award,
with over 640,000 projects/companies!

WHO CAN APPLY: Any NZ start-ups or innovative projects led by
students or recent graduates (within 5 years). A focus on China is
not essential, but those applicants with Chinese market potential
are more likely to be successful!
Calling on all recent NewZealand graduates and current
students!
SUCCESSFUL APPL ICANTSFree return flights and accommodation will be provided.
New Zealand Trade and Enterprise will help prepare companies
with their pitch materials as well as tips & tricks.
