About A. Tabiei
Dr. Tabiei has been a consultant on the use of large scale finite element simulation for more than 20 years to more than 60 large and small companies and government labs in the US and abroad. He was the director of the Center of Excellence in DYNA3D Analysis at the University of Cincinnati (1997-2001). His primary work focus is in the area of multi-physics simulations, crash simulation, impact simulation, and material model development for isotropic and composite materials. Dr. Tabiei lectures nine different short courses to many government and industrial research centers and companies nationally and internationally on the use of LSDYNA for various applications. He also does code development for LSTC. He was consultant to the US government on the use of simulation for the design of weapons of mass destruction. He was also on a NASA team for the return to the moon program to investigate different landing scenarios (2006-2010). He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering, MS in Aeronautical Engineering from the Wichita State University, MS in Mathematics, and a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Tabiei’s expertise is in the area of computational mechanics and numerical simulation.
