    Exporting Customer Data using the Template:

    1. In Sage Pastel Partner / Xpress launch the Report Manager by selecting View…Intelligence

    Reporting…Launch…Report Manager.

    2. The following screen will be displayed:

    3. Right click on the Home menu and select Add Folder:

    4. Name the folder Sage One Accounting and select the OK button:

    5. Right click on the Sage One Accounting folder and select the Import Report option:

    6. Navigate to where the Sage Intelligence Reporting Templates are saved:

    7. Select the Customer option and click on the Open button.

    8. The following screen will be displayed:

    9. From the Target Connection drop down menu, select the Pastel V14 (Auto Connect) option.

    10. Click on the Import button.

    11. The following screen will be displayed:

    14. Once the report imported successfully you can run the report by selecting the Report…Run option.

    15. The report will open in Microsoft Excel:

    16. Click on the File…Save As option:

    17. Save the file as a CSV (Comma delimited) file. This file will now be ready for importing.

    When importing customer master files with Analysis Codes using Sage Intelligence Reporting:

    Sales Reps must be created manually in Sage One Accounting before you import the customer Sage Intelligence Reporting template. When importing the Sage Intelligence Reporting template, the Sales Analysis codes will not import. You will however have to link the sales reps to the customer in Sage One Accounting. 1. To see your Sales Analysis Codes in Sage Pastel Partner / Xpress go to the

    View…Customers…Listings…Accounts menu option. 2. The following screen will be displayed:

    3. Check the Sales Analysis Code Sequence check box. 4. Click on the OK button. 5. The following report will be displayed:

    6. Use this report to create your Sales Reps in Sage One Accounting by selecting the Customers…Lists…List of Sales Reps option.

    7. You can then allocate the correct sales rep to the correct customer. Importing your Exported Sage Intelligence Reporting Report into Sage One Accounting:

    1. Click on the Company…Import Data option. 2. The following screen will be displayed:

    3. Select the type of data that you want to import into your Sage One Accounting company. It is very important to select the correct type of data because if you select the incorrect type you might end up corrupting your data.

    4. In the CSV File Date Format field, select the way your dates display in your file you are about to import. Sage One Accounting will convert the dates to the date format of your company, once it is imported.

    5. In the CSV Import File field, click on the Browse button to find your Customer file that you want to import.

    6. If your data file contains column headings, check the My CSV import file contains column headings check box. If your data file does not contain headings, leave the box unchecked.

    Tip

    It is much easier to map your data if it contains column headings. If your data does not have column

    headings, take a moment to insert headings by inserting a new row above your data whilst working in

    your spreadsheet application.

    7. Click on the Next button. 8. The following screen will be displayed:

    9. You need to tell the system which field on the import file corresponds to which field in Sage One Accounting.

    10. The first column displays the names of the fields in the system. 11. The second column displays fields in the import file. 12. Choose each field name from the Import File Field Name list. Not all fields have to be imported. To

    skip fields during the import, choose Do Not Import.

    Important Information

    Change the Sales Reps field to Do Not Import. As mentioned earlier, you will have to create and

    allocate your Sales Reps manually in Sage One Accounting.

    13. Click on the Next button.

    14. The following screen is displayed:

    15. Sage One Accounting will let you know if your data was successfully imported. If you encountered errors, Sage One Accounting has an option to view a log file detailing the errors that were encountered.

    16. Click on the Finish button.

    Importing your Exported Sage Intelligence Reporting Report into Sage One Accounting:

    1. In Sage Pastel Partner / Xpress select the View…Inventory…Quantities option.

    2. The following screen will be displayed:

    4. Save the file as a CSV (Comma Delimited) file.

    5. Copy all the Quantity Available amounts over to the CSV file:

    6. Save the CSV file.
