1. Using aseptic technique, remove the inner pouch from the outer pouch, and place the inner pouch containing the CorMatrix ® CanGaroo ® Pocket onto a sterile field 2. Open the inner pouch carefully, and aseptically remove the CanGaroo ® device with sterile forceps 3. Hydrate the CanGaroo ® Pocket by placing it in a bowl of sterile saline or other sterile isotonic solution for 1-2 minutes prior to use. INSERTION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Create subcutaneous pocket and place leads as usual

2. Hydrate CanGaroo envelope in room temperature saline for

1-2 minutes

3. Place CIED with attached leads into the appropriate size

CanGaroo envelope

4. Place one securing stitch through the middle of the pouch near the

opening on the side, and secure directly into the fascia

5. Place another securing stitch through the fascia, envelope, header

suture hole, and envelope material (again) and tie securely

6. An additional (3rd) securing stitch may be made through the

fascia and the envelope

7. Irrigate the wound and close as protocol requires
