SIZZLING SATURDAY TEA WITH THE OLD QUEENCOMEDY: TALK
From one extreme to another, this hilarious one-man show
is based upon the fictitious ‘secret’ diaries of William Tallon, ‘one time Steward and Page of the Backstairs to HRH Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mother’.
It’s all totally made up, and presented from a view point of reverence, but with a bit of tongue-in-cheek fun. Billy tells us about his 40 years of service during which, with discretion and diplomacy, he tidied up many a royal mishap. He played the Dame in the Christmas Panto, danced with Her Majesty and oversaw the visit from Tony and Cherie.

everything you’ll ever do, but in one evening. So, in an average lifetime you’ll spend two years shopping, two weeks kissing and 18 months looking for lost things. You’ll also spend quite a
while eating, queuing, crying and googling yourself. Alex is going to squeeze all these
things into one show. It’ll be tremendous. And very funny. So come and laugh at your life.
Star and co-creator of BBC Four comedy quiz show We Need Answers, Alex has established a reputation as thoughtful, original and very funny. His shows are always something of a tour-de-force, and quite unique.

A FEAST OF MIDSUMMER!STORIES AND SUPPER
So popular was our Valentine’s stories and supper event that we’ve designed a new one to celebrate the summer solstice. Sit in comfort, while storytellers light the fires of your imagination with an evening of Celtic influenced songs and tales. Famously a time for spirits to roam and witches to meet, for communities to embrace healing and incite revelry, Midsummer reminds us that the seasons and their stories can be imbued with strange powers.
Start the evening with a glass of wine and your main meal, followed by a dessert in the
interval. Then more stories, poems and songs.
Fabulous folklore and flawless food combine to make a sumptuous and shared feast night to remember!
Sunday 17 June 7pm. Places limited. £32, £30 (concs), £29 (members) inclusive of storytelling and supper. Menu available on website

BRENDA HAYDEN AND TOM CRASK5 April – 6 May
Two artists present their collections of artwork, inspired by the natural world. Brenda’s painting, prints and mixed media work seeks to explore the landscape at the point where land meets sea. Wood and water have been a running theme in both her large-scale paintings and her intimate etchings. Whereas, Tom’s three-dimensional memory boxes are created and compiled from found objects in beautiful hand-crafted glass-fronted containers.0
