CORNOA STUDIO VISIT

Since 2002, Opera Gallery New York has been proudly exhibiting Corno’s paintings within the gallery. For the artist’s most recent work, the gallery invites collectors to Corno’s studio in Soho to view this new collection, and to be immersed in the creative space that influences her artistic process. Throughout Corno’s career in New York City, it has been her connection to this city that has been the great inspiration and motivator behind her work, which is described as passionate, edgy and urban.

She describes her own style as New Expressionism, in which she uses vivid color, explo-sive gestures and intense texture to depict her subject matter, which includes the torsos and faces of both men and women. Corno explains, “The main idea behind my work is an impulse to create a burst of emotion that makes you go further, that makes you want to conquer the world. Vivid colors best express this. I paint large because it gives me room to breath…I see larger than life and that’s what I paint.”

Opera Gallery New York is proud to present an evening at Corno’s studio featuring a new selection of works.
