Course Description:

Among the significant initiatives brought about by the ASEAN integration in the Philippines is the mandatory participation of Philippine Listed Companies (PLCs) to the annual assessment using the standardized ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard.

With the resulting heightened focus by the legislators and regulators on how companies are being run, this course is designed to provide students with an overview of the complex set of relationships between the corporation and its Board of Directors, management, stockholders and other stakeholders.

This course also aims to facilitate detailed discussion on current trends and suggested best practices on corporate governance arrangements and how the same complement and conflict with our domestic regulations and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
