About Company
ZEL was incorporated in 1992 at Ahmedabad as Zodiac Gensets
Private Limited and subsequently the name of company was
changed to Zodiac Energy Private Limited in 2007 and converted
into Public limited company in August 2017 as Zodiac Energy
Limited.
ZEL successfully entered capital market with its Maiden IPO on
National Stock Exchange (NSE) in November 2017 and now it
has been listed Corporate on NSE.
ZEL is ISO 9001-2008 organisation and accredited channel
partners and category A supplier for Ministry of New and
Renewable Energy (MNRE), Govt. of India for Solar PV on-grid
and off-grid application.
ZEL Provides Energy Solutions in the field of solar PV and Solar
thermal applications, Diesel/Gas based Captive / Co-generation
power plants as well as energy efficiency improvement products.
ZEL has completed installation of Diesel and Gas based captive
/ co-generation power plants with of cumulative capacity of more
than 150 MW across India for Government/ PSU/ Private
organisations.
ZEL forayed in solar power sector in FY2012-13.
Manufacturing facility of company for process equipment and
solar water heaters is located at Kathwada, Ahmedabad.
The Key Management Team of the company cumulatively holds
experience of installing more than 150 MW of solar power
projects in small and large capacity.
ZEL has completed installation of more than 8,000 KW of rooftop
solar power plants in various parts of the country till now and will
be executing more than 10000 KW solar PV installations during
Financial Year 2017-18.

Technocrat with over 35 years of experience in conceiving, planning and implementing ultra large size industrial projects
One of his outstanding contributions to India has been his seminal work and pivotal role in establishing the country’s first natural gas based sponge iron and steel plant at Hazira in Gujarat (Essar Gujarat Limited)
During his long career, he worked as Senior VP of Reliance Group, Group VP for Essar Group, and at Sr. Executive positions in Tata Iron and Steel Company and also in Govt. at senior position in GIIC as well as advisor to GSPC and HPCL
Instrumental in bringing all the solar stakeholders on one platform and with inspiration and support of Mr. Deepak Gupta, the then MNRE Secretary, founded the National Solar energy Federation of India (NSEFI), an apex trade body to represent the manufacturers, developers, installers, state nodal agencies and users of solar energy in country and do policy advocacy to increase the reach of solar power in the country. He is the honorary Chairman of NSEFI since its inception.
Also instrumental in setting up Global Solar Council having its head quarter at New York, a multi nation co-operation bringing solar associations of various major solar countries like USA, Germany, China, Japan, India and various other countries under one fold for deployment of solar energy across the globe. He is honorary Chairman- Elect of Global Solar Council.
He is Vice Chairman of Asia Photovoltaic Industries Association (APVIA) having headquarter at Beijing. The Apex body of Asian PV Manufacturers and Developers.
He is resident director of Kiran Energy Limited, a leading solar developer in the country having portfolio of more than 70 MW of solar power plants
As an adviser to GSPC and Government of Gujarat (GoG), he is instrumental in implementing the CNG revolution in the city of Ahmedabad and Surat and subsequently in the rest of Gujarat
Recently received the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award for his outstanding work in Energy sector in India
Received coveted National Metallurgist Award from the Govt. of India

Mr. Dhaval Shah is Non-Executive & Independent Director of Zodiac Energy Limited. He is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and CFA Institute, USA. He has completed B.Com, LL.B., FCA and CFA (USA) and possesses strong academic background. He had secured 9th rank in India in CA Final Exam and got 49th Rank in India in CA PE II Exam. He possesses overall professional experience of around eleven years in the field of credit and risk management, relationship management, corporate banking, investment banking, stressed asset management, credit rating, accounting, audit etc. He has worked with various organisations like ICICI Bank, Citi Bank, CARE Ratings, and Reliance Communications at Mumbai and Ahmedabad location and had handled various responsibilities.

Present Business Activities:
ZEL provides various energy solutions with focus on solar PV and Solar thermal
applications as mentioned below
1. Solar Photovoltaic(PV) System
ZEL offers grid connected solar PV systems, rooftop solar PV systems, off grid
solar PV systems, solar pumping solutions, building integrated PV systems, etc. by
utilising high quality solar modules, inverters, controllers and storage batteries.
ZEL is looking for JV from reputed overseas manufacturers to set up manufacturing
plant for PV products.
2. Solar Thermal
a. Concentrating Solar Power System
ZEL offers concentrated solar thermal systems to generate solar steam with
help of parabolic troughs and scheffler solar dishes for various applications like
process steam, water desalination, waste water evaporation, incinerator, solar
air-conditioning etc.
b. Solar Water Heater:
ZEL offers solar water heating solutions for residential, commercial and
industrial purpose using solar energy. ZEL provides two types of solar water
heater: (1) Flat Plate Solar Heater and (2) Evacuated Tube Solar Heater.
3. Consultancy, PMC& EPC of Solar Power Plants
ZEL provides system integration, consultancy services and Project Management
services for implementing medium &large scale solar power plants at various
stages like planning, Design, Engineering, procurement, erection, commissioning
and liaisioning etc.
4. EPC of Captive / Co-generation Power Plants using Diesel/Gas Generator
Sets
ZEL provides engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services of Diesel
and Gas Generator sets of various manufacturers such as Kirloskar, Cummins,
Caterpillar, Perkins and GE Jenbacher with a power rating ranging from 5 KVA to
4000 KVA with various cogeneration options like VAM, WHRB, HWG etc.
5. Engineering Consultancy for Process Equipment
ZEL is engaged in designing and engineering of process equipment and providing
solutions like FEA analysis, stress analysis etc.
