What is the Economic Opportunity Summit? In 2018, the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota will present the Economic Opportunity Summit as a way to bring corporate, philanthropic, and individual donor-partners together with statewide nonprofit grantee-partners, and women and girl leaders (ages 12-18). At the Summit, attendees will be inspired by a keynote address and local artists, learn from local and national experts and thought-leaders, hear from young women and girls, and network with a diverse statewide audience of community changemakers. Collectively, we will create and drive solutions toward a world of equal economic opportunity for all women and girls in Minnesota. 2018 Summit Highlights • Exclusive VIP Reception for Top Sponsors • Inspirational Keynote Speaker • Expert Plenary Speakers • Artistic Performances • Networking with Over 250 Statewide Attendees • Morning & Afternoon Breakout Sessions: - Youth Leaders & Programs - Finance - Fundraising - Leadership Why a Summit for Economic Opportunity for Women and Girls in Minnesota? The economic security of Minnesota’s women and girls is critical to its overall growth and prosperity. To achieve economic security, young women must first have economic opportunity, including access to education, employment, workforce development, and quality, affordable childcare. About the Women’s Foundation of MinnesotaAll proceeds from the Summit support the work of the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota, a statewide community foundation investing in innovation to drive gender equity. By becoming a corporate sponsor of the Economic Opportunity Summit, you become a critical partner in our vision: A world of equal opportunity where women and girls – and all people – hold the power to create and lead safe, prosperous lives.

Through annual statewide grantmaking, research, and policy, the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota builds pathways to economic security for women and girls who experience the greatest disparities in outcomes. In FY2017, the Foundation made more than $2.25 million in grants and investments ($24.8 million since 1983) to innovative, community-driven programs across the state to create equal opportunity for women and girls in Minnesota.
