Las cenizas en nuestras frentes son un recordatorio a nosotros de nuestro deseo para entrar en esta temporada santa como perso-nas que desea entrar en una relación más profunda con Jesús por la ora-ción, la penitencia, el sacrificio y los actos de la caridad. Que esta tempora-da sea un tiempo de gracia y renovación espiritual para todos.

LA PALABRA ENTRE NOSOTROS: En las puertas de la iglesia usted encontrará un folleto de meditaciones de Cuaresma, esto es un libro de meditaciones en Jesús, el sufriente sirviente de Dios. Por favor lea cada meditación como parte de su preparación para la Cuaresma y comparta con su familia los temas.

LAS ESTACIONES DE LA CRUZ: Viernes: 7:00 P.M. – español - A partir del viernes 8 de marzo

Las Estaciones de la Cruz es una devoción antigua con cual caminamos con Jesús en Su paso al Calvario. Reflejamos en el amor incondicional del Señor que tiene para nosotros y Su consentimiento de tomar Su cruz por nosotros. Cuando oramos las Estaciones de la Cruz nosotros oramos que podamos ser capaces de imitar al obediente Jesús, siendo capaz de aceptar las cruces que descubrimos en nuestras vidas.

El SACRAMENTO DE RECONCILACIÓN Ninguna preparación para la Pascua sería completa sin un examen de conciencia y beneficiándose de la oportunidad de ir a la confesión. We would like to offer an option to parents who sometimes think that they cannot attend Mass with their children because they are noisy, disruptive or can’t stay still in the church. We do not want fam-ilies to stay away from the celebration of Mass and we want you to know that you are always welcome in church with your children even if they sometimes may be a little noisy. However, for the peace of mind of the parents we are offering an alternative for you to attend Mass at Corpus Christi in an atmosphere that you may find more comfortable. We have begin to stream the 8:45 AM and 11:00 AM Mass on Sunday into the chapel. If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity please call the rectory at 718-278-8114 just to let us know so that we are able to have a minister available. OUR LENTEN JOURNEY WITH CHRIST: We will begin our Lenten journey with our celebration of Ash Wednesday. The ashes on our foreheads are a reminder to us of our desire to enter into this holy season as a people who desire to enter into a deeper relationship with Jesus through prayer, penance, sacrifice and acts of charity. May this season be a time of grace and spiritual renewal for all. THE WORD AMONG US. At the doors of the church you will find

a booklet of Lenten meditations. This is a book of meditations on Jesus, the suffering servant of God. Please read each meditation as part of your Lenten preparation to celebrate the feast of Easter. . Stations of the Cross - Friday: 8:30 AM - English 7:00 p.m. - Spanish The Stations of the Cross is an ancient devotion by which we walk with Jesus on His way to Calvary. We re-flect on the unconditional love of the Lord for us and His willingness to take up His cross for us. As we pray the Stations of the Cross, we pray that we may be able to imitate the love and obedience of Jesus by being able to accept the crosses we bear in our lives.

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION No preparation for Easter would be complete without an examination of conscience and taking advantage of the opportunity to go to confession and celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Confessions are heard eve-ry Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Reconciliation Monday will be the Monday of Holy Week, April 15th. On that day confessions will be heard from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the church.

PASSION PLAY - PALM SUNDAY April 14 - 7:00 P.M.

The youth of our parish are preparing a dramatic representation of the Passion, Crucifixion and Death of Jesus which will take place on Palm (Passion) Sunday night at 7:00 PM in the church. The efforts of the teenagers of our parish will be transformed into a beautiful presentation of the Passion of Jesus and will be, for us, a wonderful way to enter into the spirit of Holy Week.
