The college has five units with 250 volunteers. The activities started in the month of Junewith the enrollment of the first year volunteers.The first advisory committee meeting was conducted on 23.06.2011 with the presence ofMr.Shanmuga Rajeswaran, District Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Ramnad andMr.Sekar, RRC Coordinator, Ramnad.On 16.07.11 25 volunteers and 3 programme officers participated in the trainingprogramme conducted by Friends of police

, RamanathapuramOn L9.07.201 I Dr.Jasmine, Department of Commerce gave alecture on populationAwareness to the NSS volunteers in connection with the population day.On August lst to 8ft, Breast feeding week was celebrated by department of Home Scieneand NSS units. Mrs.Lakshmi Sree, Assistant Professor, Department of Home Science gavethe lecture on Breast feeding.On 4th August, Rally was organizedby NSS units and 300 NSS volunteers participated tocreate the awareness on Breast feeding at Kilakarai.On 05.08.2011 Breast feeding awareness programme was organized by NSS & Departmentof Home Science.Dr.Balachandran, Joint Director of Health, Ramnad. Dr.Syed AbdulKader, Director, YZMC Kilakarai, Dr.K.R.Parthasarathy, Pediatrician, Dr.periyar Lenin,Psychartrist and Dr.A.S.Mohammed Kyavudyn, Pediatrician gave the lecture pm breastfeeding.

On 18th August a One day workshop on Career guidance for final year UG & pG wasconducted .Dr.Abideen, Assistant Professor, Dr.Zahir Hussain college, Ilayankudi was theresource person.

On October 13th 68 volunteers donated blood to Government hospital Ramnad.On December 20th to 26n AIDS awareness week was jointly organized,by NSS & RRC.On27h December Blood donation camp was organized ny Indian Towheeth Jamath,Kilakarai. 24 volunteers donated blood.On29& December rally was arranged to create awareness among people of Kilakarai onHIV/AIDS. Dr.Sumayaa, Principal inaugurated the rally.Verse Writing, Rangoli , Mime,oratorical and Quiz competition was conducted and Dr.Rahumathu nisha,correspondent,TBAK college, Kilakarai gave the lecture on youth and HIV.On29h December V.Akila attended the meeting about tree plantation organized in theCollectorate, Ramnad.

NSS units of TBAK has adopted south and north streets of Kilakarai and initiated to createawareness on waste management among the people of these areas
