The authors regret that the axis labelling of the atomic scale images in Figure 3 a–c is wrong. The correct image sizeshould be 16 nmð16 nm. (On the calcite cleavage plane, the AFM generally reveals a rectangular lattice symmetry withspacings of 8.1ð 5.0 A).
