SMC incorporates best-of-breed estimating and take-off solutions to increase your efficiency during projects development and maximize the profitability of projects before, during and after construction.

SMC has solutions to create fast and accurate early phase cost models.

We, in SMC, have our own database capturing from our estimating best practices.

And, we can use your Quantity Surveying plans or make ours from your 2D or 3D electronic

plans (drawings or models, even if they are in PDF or IFC files). Quantities drive the estimate.

And then, we will create highly flexible spreadsheets for later adjusting and presenting cost estimates.

During the early design phase, it’s not unusual for the BIM Model and 2D plans to change every 2-3 weeks.

Our estimators can quickly review, and update estimate – making sure the estimate always reflects the current design.

SMC will look for every

opportunity to reduce cost or increase value

and report any such

opportunities timely to you.

At each formal design stage release, SMC review changes between design iterations and make detection of eventually cost and value implications from the applications made by the designer, assess the validity of such applications and make recommendations to you.

SMC can, throughout the construction period, closely monitor the estimated Final Out Turn Cost, through the cost reporting system detailed below: - A detailed cost report, broken down by package. This report will indicate the Forecast Out Turn Cost, measured against the budget. - A narrative summary that notes any major fluctuations in anticipated cost, changes in budget etc. - A Cash Flow report, including those amounts already spent and the future cash flow projection split by package. SMC shall request a payment report each month from your Accountant confirming amounts paid to date, for inclusion into the Cash Flow report. Where variations arise (refer to the Change Control procedure), SMC can support you to arrange negotiating the value of the variations with the Contractor. And then, you will be able to make the ultimate decision on whether the Change Order is to be issued.

ZORAN CEKIĆ CEO MRICS MCIOB MAPM PHD

Professional background: Zoran is a former State Secretary for infrastructure investments at the Ministry for National Investment Plan and manager for national infrastructure programs co-funded by EIB (with investment schemes in transport and local and regional roads, education, cultural and historical heritage and public buildings rehabilitation). He had significant HEI leadership experience as the Rector and Dean of Faculty of Property and Construction Management. Zoran is a professor of project management, QS and smart cities & infrastructure at the Institute of Architecture and Construction, SUSU, Russia; Institute of Civil Engineering and Geodesy FTN UNS; Faculty of Architecture University of Montenegro; University Singidunum and Faculty of Politechnics UDG. Zoran, as the CEO of SMC, is trying to figure out how to translate digitally enhanced smart systems, into new and useful technology, which could change

how infrastructure and real estate will be delivered, managed and automatically controlled, for the benefit of all stakeholders, more efficiently and with better whole-life value. Sonja has more than 27 years of professional experience in the leading engineering and consulting companies in SEE. As a designer, contractor and consultant, she was involved in many large and complex real estate development and infrastructure projects. Sonja has thorough knowledge and

skills of construction management and site development, from designing and planning to the implementation and evaluation. Also, she has extensive experiences in construction project planning and scheduling, cost estimating, QS, procurement and contract strategy, claim management, building/site codes & standards, quality assurance programs, policies, procedures, and practices for construction quality management, and knowledge of international project cost planning, monitoring and control procedures. Sonja worked for Mace Group from 2007 to 2018. As a construction manager for Ada Mall, Belgrade, she was responsible for design, interior design and construction management of one of the largest shopping malls in this region.
