Mid-Term Counseling

First round FITREP must be filled in, reviewed, signed by MIDN, and turned in

Identify strengths and shortcomings Address performance problems Present a performance growth plan Ensure member understands their performance Review what is required before next period MAKE SURE TO PROVIDE EXAMPLES

Grading Your Subordinates

Guard against grade inflation Leave room for improvement Order subordinates from best to worst, make

the median MIDN average Stay consistent and objective Grade based on criteria presented, not on

outside circumstances
