SCHOOL OF MUSICOur age-appropriate classes are designed to enhance technical, performance, interpersonal, and life skills. From beginners to pre-professional level students, our professional teaching artists will inspire, challenge, motivate and guide students on their journey to excellence.

Our music programs help young performers gain confidence, improve their skills, and create music with their friends! Our programs offer a broad range of musical opportunities, which will help improve your student’s comprehension skills, teach teamwork, and provide a nurturing, fun experience with opportunities to perform in public settings.

Basie A Cappella Vocal Troup (Audition Based) The Basie Academy’s acapella troupe has received accolades for performances throughout the community. PROGRAMS FOR ADVANCED MUSICIANS

Little Beethoven Group Piano Program Learn to play the piano with friends and parents! In this group setting, children learn to sing songs, dance to rhythm activities, and perform on the piano as a team. The format motivates children and provides an opportunity to develop ensemble skills and cooperation within a supportive community of friends and parents. Cello Ensemble Our cello ensemble enables intermediate to advanced cello students to experience the joy of playing as a group and includes repertoire uniquely arranged for cello ensemble from Bach to Nirvana. Students perform for parents and friends and also participate in fun, public venue performances. Join in and be amazed at the sound of multiple cellos! Improvisation Back by popular demand! The teaching artist for this course is cutting edge and known as the “King of Improvisation!” Skills learned in an improv class improve public speaking and communication skills – so important for actors, and teens in general. This class encourages risk-taking via an array of theatre games and exercises, each designed to challenge and stimulate spontaneous thinking.
