incoln the American International School (AsociacionEscuelas Lincoln), founded in 1936, serves a diversecommunity. Most of our students are expatriates fromdifferent countries who after two to three years will be
transferred to other countries around the world and will be entering othereducational systems. Lincoln is located in the suburb of La Lucila,Vicente Lopez, overlooking the river Rio de la Plata. It has excellent edu-cational and sports facilities; and it maintains together with the Munici-palidad de Vicente Lopez, an Ecological Reserve and a public park by theriver. Although some families stay at Lincoln for a few years, we have astrong core of students that begin in Kinder 4 and continue through grad-uation. The impact of the Argentine experience on these internationallymobile students is extraordinary. Most of the alumni maintain close con-tact with the school and they have formed an Alumni Association with3.500 members, 95% with residence abroad. The Alumni reunions takeplace regularly, alternating between Argentina and the United States. TheMission of Asociación Escuelas Lincoln, the American InternationalSchool of Buenos Aires, is to provide an education based on a UnitedStates accredited curriculum in an environment of academic excellencethat develops ethical, responsible, and globally conscious world citizens.Our goal is to ensure the academic, social, and personal success of thestudent as an individual. Lincoln also provides through Centro Lincoln University College(LUC) in association with the Universidad Nacional de San Martín anundergraduate university program in English that is fully accredited inArgentina. Students may either transfer to universities in the UnitedStates or Canada after one or two years of foundational studies or completethe entire four-year baccalaureate (Licenciatura) at Lincoln. Currently,students who continue in the four-year program may choose to major ineither Cultural Studies or Policy Studies.
