New Ideas for Awareness Campaign “Dummy” guide to using the

photocopier/printer avail on intranet.

(Is IT doing this?) A few points from Dummy Guide to be put on

a small poster with paper prevention message and placed on/near each photocopier/printer.

Countdown to intro to new fab equipment that will do everything you wish for!!

New ideas (cont’d)

Ensure new printers configured so don’t print a test page on start up (as some photocopiers/printers currently do).

  Clear instructions readily available (near the printer

& on the intranet) to change settings to single sided printing where needed.

  Inform staff beforehand via email outlining benefits

(new & improved, reliability, speed, scanning features etc.) and changes (default duplex being main one)

Short auto promo on new equip when switch on pc

Previous ideas – Bigger Push! Stamp out ‘bits of paper’ on peoples desk for

phone messages, all should be emailed Scrap paper obviously not being used can we

reinforce this message? Tackle amount of Junk mail/several copies of

the same brochure/leaflet etc that are received on a daily basis in all sections of the Council.
