Revolving Nosepiece

• Contains the objectives and can be rotated to change magnification

Body Tube

• Maintains a proper distance between the eyepiece and the objective lenses

Medium Power Objective

• Provides a magnification of 10X (total 100 X magnification)

High Power Objective

• Provides a magnification of 40X (total 400 X magnification)

Stage

• Supports the slide being observed.

Light Source

• Produces or reflects light up through the body tube.

Diaphragm

• Regulates the amount of light entering the body tube

• Supports the microscope

• Moves the body tube slightly to sharpen the focus
