Dale Christenson

Dale is a Certified Management Consultant and Project Management Professional specializing in project management consulting and training. He combines an extensive academic background with real-world expertise in the areas of program and portfolio management, organizational development, change management and critical project success factors. He’s held project management leadership positions in the public and private sectors. Dale has a doctorate in Project Management from RMIT University, Australia.

Ken Coach

Ken is a media trainer, public speaking coach and crisis communications specialist. He has worked with high-profile politicians, CEOs, actors, lawyers and managers to improve their public image and communications strategies. A former TV news producer for both CBC and CTV National News, he has coached and developed on-air talent and worked with people with a wide range of experience—from raw beginners to seasoned veterans.

Mats Gerschman

Mats is known for his successes in creating excellent bottom line results and service enhancements for his employers and clients. He draws on his extensive expertise in strategic planning, business development, execution, team building, cost control and complex project management to help his clients solve operational challenges. He has held senior management positions in global companies including Ericsson, Glenayre Electronics, Vanderlande Industries, Sauder School of Business at UBC, as well as start-ups and small businesses. He has worked in many different countries and continents and is sensitive to various corporate cultures. He is also teaching Operations Management/Supply Chain Management for Capilano University and has previously been teaching at UBC. He is currently the President of Fortus Consulting and has an engineering and business management background.

Pat Kennedy

Pat Kennedy, CPA, FCMA has over 25 years’ experience teaching financial and management accounting, strategic leadership and other business courses.  She was Chair of the Certified Management Accountants of BC in 2012/2013 and Co-Chair of the Transition Steering Committee in BC during this period as the accounting designations worked towards the Chartered Professional Accountant designation.  Pat brings a common sense, pragmatic approach to learning.

jorge Oceguera

jorge joined Capilano University as an expert in active learning techniques and has been doing professional facilitation and facilitation training for more than 10 years. He is president of Latam Consulting Inc., a company that serves local and international organizations by helping them achieve results through facilitation and training that works. jorge has consistently combined his facilitation, business and academic expertise with the vision of adding more value and richness to the learning and business development processes in diverse environments. He specializes in facilitating training in Strategic Planning, Human Development, Organizational Behaviour and Change, International Business, Entrepreneurship and Applied Marketing. He is an instructor with Capilano University’s School of Business and holds a B. Eng., EMBA, M.Ed and a CPF.

joanna Piros

joanna Piros is an accomplished communicator and trainer/coach in presentation and communication skills and media relations. As a former radio and television journalist she knows the importance of framing the story to suit the strategic objective. Using her experience and insights, she helps people become more effective, more confident and more successful.

Andrea Southcott

Partner at Southcott Strategy, Andrea was previously President of TBWA\Vancouver, named one of Canada’s Top Ten Ad Agencies in 2009 and 2010. For over 25 years, she led strategy for regional and national businesses, government and not-for-profits. Andrea is currently on the Faculty Advisory Board for the Sauder School of Business as well as being a Board Member of Insception Lifebank and the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. Her other community commitments include being on the 2014 Grey Cup Organizing Committee and being a Founding Member of the West Vancouver 2010 Legacy Foundation. Andrea formerly wrote for the Globe and Mail on brand strategy and was named in Vancouver’s Power 50.

jim Southcott

jim has worked as a senior advertising and marketing brand strategist for over 25 years. A partner at Southcott Strategy, jim specializes in brand differentiation, brand architecture, cultural branding, customer experience planning, new product development and research design. jim is expert at creating and facilitating senior management planning sessions that encourage teams to explore business opportunities and new markets for their brands. He is an Adjunct Professor at the Sauder School of Business at UBC, teaching an MBA and undergraduate course in Cultivating Creativity in Business.

Sharka Stuyt

Sharka is a Certified Executive Coach (Royal Roads University), a Coaching Clinic-licensed facilitator (Corporate Coach University, Dallas, Texas), group facilitator, teacher and motivational speaker. She holds an Executive MBA and a BBA. For the past 13 years Sharka has contributed as a Leadership and Change Management professor in the School of Business at Capilano University.
