UOW College has been helping students to achieve their personal, educational and

career goals for over 30 years.

I chose to study at UOW College as I was unable to join UOW directly. I really enjoyed meeting new class mates and would even go as far to say that I made friends with teachers which helps to make class easier and more enjoyable. Studying on campus has allowed me to experience the uni lifestyle and gave me a goal to work towards. Studying at UOW College is not a disadvantage in any aspect, in fact, I really believe it will make uni easier.

DYLANUNIVERSITY ACCESS PROGRAM

High School wasn’t for me and I discovered that UOW College offered a fitness course I could study after completing year 10. UOW College taught me skills in not only the fitness industry but skills within myself to be the best person I can be for my future. The teachers made everything very relatable to real life and have set me up for the future. Since I have graduated from UOW College, I am now working as a Personal Trainer at an F45 gym.

ERINCERTIFICATE III AND IV IN FITNESS

UOW College provides pathway programs for students to gain entry to the University of Wollongong. UOW College also offers career ready qualifications in Nursing and Fitness to prepare students of all ages for upskilling in their current role or entry to the workforce.

UOW College is an integral component of the University of Wollongong. Our students thrive from studying on UOW campuses, and have full access to the same academic support, accommodation services, sports, culture and entertainment facilities.

I chose to study the University Access Program to brush up on my academic skills and increase my confidence in maths and statistics before continuing on to UOW as a mature age student. I learnt essay writing skills, how to reference and how to analyse academic texts. The small classes, friendly teachers and access to the UOW campus made UOW College such a special place to study.

SOUTH WESTERN SYDNEY CAMPUS — With people from more than 150 countries calling Liverpool home, the UOW South Western Sydney campus is a culturally vibrant and welcoming place to study. The campus is located on Moore Street, in the heart of Liverpool. You can step out of the classroom and find yourself amongst a world of food, shopping and entertainment.

FOODSpice up your lunch break with an Indian curry, grab a post-lecture treat from an Afghani bakery or order some pizza or Thai food – you’re never short of options on the streets around campus.

COFFEEFind a quick caffeine fix at various cafés located right at the entrance to UOW and sprawled along the nearby mall. Alternatively, a short walk will take you to a number of cafés, including the Blackrose Bar and Café for coffee and Italian food, or Ristretto and Co for a gourmet breakfast or a scoop of gelato.

SHOPPINGA Westfield Shopping Centre and the Macquarie Mall shopping strip are within a few blocks of your classroom, making it easy to find specialty stores, last-minute study supplies or fit in some retail therapy.

ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENTA short train ride will lead you to the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre where you can see and learn about art, music and performing. If that’s not your style, visit the comic shop, karaoke bar or the Liverpool City Library.

SPORT AND RECREATIONTake a break and visit the Georges River or Lake Moore, nestled beside Liverpool city. As home to two leisure centres, two aquatic centres, numerous parks, riverside walkways, picnic areas and sporting facilities, Liverpool caters for the everyday walker to the focused athlete.

TRANSPORTCar – Liverpool has almost 5,000 car parking spaces available in or near the city centre, including free and low-cost options.

Train – Campus is only a four-minute walk from Liverpool railway station. With six train lines passing through, it’s easy to get in and out of the city.

Bus – Liverpool boasts one of Sydney’s first rapid bus transit-way systems, connecting you to other major areas around Sydney. The free community shuttle also stops just outside campus and is a great way to move around Liverpool.

Cycling – If you choose to cycle to class, Liverpool City Council offers a number of bike racks in its Dewsbury Lane carpark.

UOW COLLEGE COURSES AVAILABLE AT UOW SOUTH WESTERN SYDNEY University Access Program (FEE FREE IN 2019) Diploma of Business Diploma of Information Technology

When I left school, I didn’t think that I was ready for university. I thought I’d start work and return to study later but my plan kept getting pushed back. I jumped at the chance to get into university through UOW College’s University Access Program (UAP) at the new UOW South Western Sydney Campus.

The UAP course was a great way to refresh my study skills and it has made going to university after a break from school feel a little bit easier.
