The main :ustification of this course is to understand the laws for theworkers from a ramified system that complicates the understanding ofspecific law for the specific purpose, which is the most essential part in thebusiness arena as far as the human recourse management is concerned .ow days it is important to understand that in accordance with the !abourlaws capital and the labour are placed on the same footing. That is to saythat monetary investment is not considered to be of greater importance thanlabour given by the poor workers. ow a day the aim of the labour laws is toestablish a harmonious relationship between the capital and the labour. These are the overall enabling intentions of the course stated in behavioral

terms to be attained by both the student and the teacher. The objectivesshould be measurable in terms of knowledge learned, skills ac"uired,e#pression of appreciation and demonstration of good attitude and values. This sector of discussion can not be covered by any other law, like contractlaw, partnership law etc.

!abour did not have any standard. nternational labour organiIation hasbeen continually determining the standerd of labour so as to give it a gentleshape. These standards are known as convention. 2ifferent countries in thisworld follows the convention given rise to them by the international labourorganiIation and formulate their labour laws. 0angladesh is a member/stateof the international labour organiIation. -o 0angladesh has formulated theirlabour law by themselves and the present concerning labour law in0angladesh is The 0angladesh !abour ode 566=. -o, This course is reallyessential in the 00$ course.
