Media Studies Coursework Outline

• Advanced Portfolio in Media is worth 50% of the final mark. There are several tasks to carry out...

• MAIN TASK: The opening five minutes of a TV documentary in groups of three. This is worth 40 marks.

• ANCILLARY TASKS: A radio trailer for the documentary (10 marks). A feature for a listings magazine on

your documentary (10 marks). 

The details…

• Research and planning/evaluation for the documentary is to be submitted electronically (20 marks each,

total of 40 marks together).

• For the above tasks, we have split ourselves into different roles and the group will rotate in terms of what

posts to write. It is vitally important to know this coursework information so we are all singing off the same

hym sheet.
