Prior to Course Selection

• High School Counselors meet with 8th grade students.

• (CMS Feb. 4th, GMS Feb 7th, CTMS Feb. 8th)

• Program of Studies • Careful thought given to courses selected.

• 4 Year plans with Middle school counselors on Choices.

• Mustang Nation – Feb 11th 6:30-8:30. Students are ENCOURAGED to attend.

Foreign Language

• Strong base in the first year of language is important for success in future years.

• Students must have at least 2 years of the SAME foreign language for recommended plan and 3 years for DAP.

26 State Credits Required

• 7 classes x 4 years = 28 credits

• Some students will earn high school credit in middle school.

• Some students will earn local credits that DO NOT count towards graduation.

• Summer school could be an option.

Skyward Family Access• On line course selection opens Jan. 28th &

closes Feb. 25th.

• Must use Student’s login/password

• Full year courses need BOTH A & B

• Semester long classes do not have A &B after course number.

• Students need to have 7 periods each semester (14 entries).
