Financial Outcome (surplus/deficit):

• This course occurred during the beginning stages of the COVID pandemic. Registration numbers were affected during recruitment, as well as, canceled registrations. The course experienced a deficit of -$34, 422, which was absorbed by the CPD COVID PAU.

Outcomes Analysis (Gap, pre/post-tests, post-course survey): Post Course Survey Results:

For any item selected above, please describe any changes you made in your practice:

• I work as a pharmacist in medical cardiology at St Marys. We do see many patients on active chemotherapy on our units, but services usually hold the chemotherapy ( so far) while they sort out the acute issues. the course gave me a much-improved appreciation of the impact of cancer and chemotherapies on cardiovascular health. So my point of view is a little like the one of an outsider. What I observed during the conference is that oncologists and cardiologists try very hard to work together, but because of the different practices, they seem to speak different languages. I am very interested in getting a lot more involved in cardio oncology as a pharmacist as I feel there would be a huge benefit for our patients.

• Updates and guidance as a co-director for the heart failure clinic within my practice. • Allow more workflow to be organized with different private oncologist • Wrote new guidelines • I assisted in updating guidelines for our managed care products.

Results Details Created or revised protocols, policies, and/or procedures 6.4% Validated my current protocols, policies, procedures 10.6% Improved the way I communicate to and educate patients 19.1% Validated my clinical decisions 14.9% Applied new clinical guidelines to practice 17.0% Translated new knowledge into clinical practice 14.9% Applied, improved, and/or implemented skills, abilities, actions, strategies, etc. that benefited the healthcare team in which I am a member

14.9%

Other responses: Increased appreciation 2.1%

Other Responses • Lack of collaboration with private oncologist • Private practice interacting with multiple heme/onc groups means we often see the pts later in their course of care • Technical variability in echo sonographers acquiring strain images
