way to survive and even enjoy it. Come along to these informal, friendly and practical sessions and Terrence will help you to create a memorable speech for
that special occasion. Learn how to:
Open strongly
Get your meaning across clearly
Keep your audience interested, and
Close with a punch
Then, to help with delivering your speech learn how to become a more confident
and polished speaker in front of a group, control your anxiety, improve articulation and make your presentation interesting, dynamic and effective. Learn about
gestures and mannerisms to help engage your audience and help you to actually enjoy the experience of public speaking!
These sessions will be relaxed and enjoyable, the ideal way to overcome any fears you may have about being in the spotlight.

Beach Safety, Survival & Basic CPR*—Get Ready for Summer

Keep your family safe at the beach this summer. Learn about water safety and survival skills that can save the life of someone close to you. Understand the
dangers on our local beaches such as how to identify rips and how to survive if you are caught in one, learn about different types of rescues with and without equipment, and what to do in case of envenomation from jelly fish, sting rays,
snakes, etc.
This workshop will also cover basic CPR* skills such as the primary survey patient
assessment (DRSABCD), the recovery/lateral position, defibrillation awareness, managing choking, anaphylaxis, asthma and handing over to emergency services.
Your tutor is a Surf Coast resident who is familiar with local beach conditions, is
qualified with numerous life saving/aquatic rescue awards with many years of experience in beach safety.
Ideal for parents, grandparents and children (minimum age 10) and anyone
interested in staying safe around water.

Focusing on one chakra each week for healing and

Maz will show you how to put it all together and make it

your materials. BYO fabric or head to the Op Shops,
you will be amazed at what you might find there.

Rustic Sourdough—Make Amazing Bread
Tutor | Gillian Canapini
Engage with this fascinating ancient craft, and make
great sourdough bread as often as you like at home for
yourself, your family and your friends through the
magic of flour, water, salt and fermentation.
Gillian will provide you with the starter culture to get
you going, plus she will show you how to make your
own—it’s not hard! Then you will get stuck into the
folding, proofing and baking processes and watch your
bread forming and rising.
Finish your baking session with a tasting session, and
more tips and suggestions from Gillian. Bring a baking
tin and a large bowl with steep sides.

technology because of stories about hacking, scams
and viruses. Instead, be proactive and arm yourself
with some knowledge about tools and practices which
will go a long way to keeping your computer and its
contents safe and secure.
Learn about effective antivirus and anti-malware
programs, backing up to an external storage device,
keeping your computer up-to-date, keeping your
password safe and hard to guess, choosing a secure
Web browser, do’s and don’ts with public WiFi, and
more.
Bring along your questions and always employ a
healthy dose of scepticism when you are connected to
the internet.

create your own contemporary piece
of art from wool and grass. Inspired
by the Tjanpi Desert Weavers,
Gunditjmara Artist & Master Weaver Bronwyn Razem has
embraced this contemporary art form of sculpturing Bush
Animals. Bronwyn has a real knack of putting spirit into her
animals and will teach you the principles of how to create
this art piece yourself.
