EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Today the demand of business courses has increased alot among students. Business students get jobs very

easily. They are paid quite well as compared to othercourse students. This is the reason that almost everycollege offers business courses. The business schoolshave now indulged in race of competing with otherschools. They offer programs which are better structured.Besides that they have also come up with excellent andreputed faculty and have great student support cells andsystems.

So keep this view in mind we conduct a survey ofbusiness students in Sukkur IBA and find out that whichtype of courses Sukkur IBA want in order to attractstudents and improve the skills of students. The aim ofthis report is to identify the need that what coursesshould offer and inform the management about this need.

INTRODUCTION

Business is very important in this new era andcompetition is increasing day by day in business everyperson need unique and different strategy in order tobeat others. Even students now days have a great insightof the business tactics. They are eager to work hard andare determined towards their goal of becoming successfulbusiness man. They are quite active and careful aboutthe upcoming opportunities and want to make best of it.

So choosing the best business school among the varietyof schools is their first and foremost priority. Studentsthen get them enrolled in such colleges and learn the artof business by polishing their skills and making the bestuse of the opportunity provided.

So according to need of new generation Sukkur IBA offerthose courses which are highly favorable in the field ofbusiness. But these courses are not enough to attract andretain the student so in this regard we have conduct thesurvey and come to know that there are many coursesthat students want in Sukkur IBA and get degree of it.

PRESENT SCENARIO

As this institute is one of the leading institutes in Sukkurand in country for business graduates. It is serving ininterior Sindh and provides quality of education to thestudents and only purpose to compete other institute andenhance the knowledge and skills of interior students.

It has two basic department, IT department and Businessdepartment. And give B.E (telecom) degree, MBA & BBAdegree and PHD degree.

Currently this institute offer specialization in Finance,Marketing, and Human Resource Management BS intelecommunication & computer science.

RESEARCHMETHODOLOGY

We go with the survey methodology for this research. We

make a questionnaire comprises 13 questions and fromthese questions we get information about students needand their perception about different courses. We make aclose ended question in our survey because we only wantto know that new courses should introduce in Sukkur IBAor not introduce. We gathered data from sample size of55 students from the different programs, 20 from BBA.10 from MBA, 15 from foundation and 10 from BS.

While designing the questionnaire we have tried toexplore all those courses in which students are interestedand want in Sukkur IBA. We make our questionnaire verysimple that every student understands it easily.

RESULTS

87% students are well aware about the Sukkur Institute of

Business Administration

66% students think that Business department of SukkurIBA is better than IT department

76.63% students have got the knowledge about majorcourses and program that IBA offer

52.72% students are agree that these courses areenough to attract new students and 47.72% studentdisagree with this thing.

72.9% student need new department in Sukkur IBA inorder to attract variety of students

81.81% students want specialization in other courses ofmanagement like Supply chain management andOperational management

74.52% students want new field of engineering likeElectronic, Civil, Mechanical etc.

70.9% students want degree program related to socialscience subjects like Sociology, Economics etc

74.52% students think that degree related to English

Literature and Linguistics should introduce in Sukkur IBAin order to attract more students

RESULTS

50.9% students are in the favor of degree related to Artsand Environment

54.54% students are interested to introduce some degreeprogram related religious studies like Islamiat, ArabicLanguage

32.72 % students are agree to introduce degree relatedto languages commonly used in Pakistan like Urdu, Sindhietc and 69.07% students are disagree with this degree.

CONCLUSION

With the help of above result we come to know that morethan 50% students want change in Sukkur IBA and needdifferent degrees in order to get more knowledge andcompete others in the field of business.

Courses which offer in Sukkur IBA are related to finance,marketing, HRM, computer science, Information

Technology etc. Well these are very effective courses and

student get a lot of information about business and cometo know that how to bring change in organization, how todeal with employee, how to run digitalize business, howto compete other in business, how to become a marketleader etc. But still students want to explore the hiddentruth of economy of the world, want to get knowledge

about social science, need to improve their skills in thefield of management etc thats why they drastically needthese courses in Sukkur IBA

It is also conclude that the English is very much improvehere and students studied many English courses but theyalso want to improve more and more because now a dayevery field of business want that person who have morecommunication skills and speak very fluently in front ofall others thats why more than 70% students want thedegree of English Literature.

The environment of Sukkur IBA is very good and studentfeel their selves competitive and feel easy to work withinteams and the teachers of IBA are really good enoughand they provide us many and accurate knowledge aboutthe courses. Page # 11

RECOMMENDATION

Should offer some new courses

Practical approach should be implemented

New department should open in order to attract

more students

PhD faculty members.

Extra activities should introduce in order to makestudent mind fresh
