A.T.K.T RULES FOR F.Y. & S.Y.B.A.

As per circular No. UG/312 of 1998 of University of Mumbai.

0-2163-A : A candidate for being eligible for admission to the second year B.A. course commencing fromJune, 1999 and thereafter must have (1) either kept terms.

For the first year B.A. Examination or (2) have kept terms for the first year B.A. course inthe academic year commencing from June, 1998 and thereafter and have failed at the firstyear B.A. examination in not more than two heads of passing in which case he will be requiredto appear for the First Year examination in the remaining in the remaining heads in which hehas failed either previously orsimultaneously with the Second Year Examination and his resultof the Second Year examination will not be declared unless he has passed in the remainingsubjects of the First Year Examination

Where a subject consists of two or more theory papers only the maximum marks of thecombined Heads of passing of the theory papers will be considered for the purpose. Where asa subject consists of two or more theory papers and practicals, the maximum marks of thehead of the combined heads of passing for practicals, will be considered for the purpose.

Students joining the S.Y.B.A. course in the year 1999-2000 and thereafter will have toappear for the 1st term and 2nd term examination conducted by the colleges.

Further for the purpose of application of A.T.K.T. rules the internal & External marks securedi.e. in internal marks (20+10) or (30) or as the case may be & external i.e. 70 or as per the casemay be, be considered as one head of passing per paper.

A.T.K.T. Provision from S.Y.B.A. To T.Y.B.A.

0.2217-A- A candidate for being eligible for admission to the third Year B.A. Course from June, 2000 andthereafter must have either (1) passed the First Year and Second Year B.A. examination or (2)passed the First Year B.A. examination and have failed at the Second Year B.A. examinationin not more than two heads of passing and also not more than 300 marks in which case he willbe required to appear for the second Year examination in the remaining head/s in which hehas failed either previously or simultaneously Third year examination result will not bedeclared unless he has passed in the remaining head/s of the Second Year examination.

Further a candidate who has failed at the First Year B.A. examination in not more than twoheads of passing and has passed in all the subjects or has obtained the minimum percentageof marks for passing in all the subjects prescribed for the Second Year B.A. examination butwhose result has not been declared will be permitted to keep terms and appear for the ThirdYear B.A. examination with effect from the academic year 2000-2001 but such a candidate willnot be declared to have passed the Third Year B.A. examination unless he has passed in theremaining head/s of the First Year B.A. examination in accordance with the provisions of0.2163-A.

Examination.

Failed at the Second Year B.Sc. examination but secured at least 45% marks on theaggregate and failed in one head of passing in which case he will be required to appear for theS.Y.B.Sc. Examination in the concerned head or heads in which he has failed eitherpreviously or simultaneously with the T.Y.B.Sc. examination and his result of the T.Y.examination will not be declared unless he has passed in the concerned of the S.Y.B.Sc.examination.

Failed at the S.Y.B.Sc. examination and has secured at least 45% marks on he aggregate butfailed in two heads of passing, total of which shall not exceed 175 marks in which case he willbe required to appear for the S.Y.B.Sc. examination in the considered head or heads in whichhe has failed either previously or simultaneously with the T.Y.B.Sc. examination and his resultof the T.Y. examination will not be declared unless he has passed in the remaining of theS.Y.B.Sc. examination.

MODE OF SEMESTER END ADDITIONAL EXAMINE :

a) There will be one additional examination for semester I, II, III and IV for those who have failedor remained absent.

b) The absent learner will be allowed to appear for the examination by the head of the institutionafter following the necessary formalities subject to the reasons to the satisfaction of the headof the institution.

Discipline and Code of Conduct

1. Every student must possess a valid Identity Card issued to him / her by the college

authorities, with photograph bearing the signature of the Principal. The card must be kept

on display (either with a sling or clip or worn around the neck.)

2. Student's attendance in lectures, practical, field visits is compulsory as per University

guidelines. Accordingly every student must attend at least 75% of the total number of

lectures / tutorials / practical engaged in each term of the respective academic year / in

each academic term.

3. Students remaining absent during lectures, practical or examination on medical ground

must submit medical certificate to the principal immediately.

4. Students are required to be present in classroom well in time.

5. Male Students should behave decently with girl students and lady staff members.

6. All students should maintain strict silence in the corridors, classrooms and library hall.

7. Students must be neatly and modestly dressed in the college premises.

8. Every student is responsible for taking care of college property and maintaining the

cleanliness of the premises.

9. While representing the college in workshops, seminars, excursions, field visits, industrial

visits, internships etc. all students should follow utmost discipline and decorum.

10. Every student should read the notices displayed by the college from time to time. Any

ignorance or failure to read the notices will not be excused.

11. Library books, periodicals etc. should be handled carefully. Any damage or loss of books

by the students should be compensated for within 7 days.

12. All Students are informed that they must carefully fill in the examination forms on or

before the due date notified.

13. All students and their parents should note that discipline is the foremost aspect in

granting admission to the college and that discipline has to be maintained by students

throughout their tenure in this college.

(Don'ts)

1. Any student without a valid college Identity Card will not be permitted to enter the college

premises.

2. Any student / student failing to attend the college for 75% of the total number of

lectures/tutorials/practical's engaged during the academic year is liable for disciplinary

action resulting in cancellation of his/her admission; no concessions in attendance will

be granted to students already in employment.

3. Students are prohibited from bringing mobile phones or any kind of valuables in college

premises.

4. Students must not misuse blackboards, disfigure walls and windows, tamper with

furniture and fittings or cause any damages to the colleges property directly or indirectly.

Otherwise cost for damages will be collected from students by levering common

breakage.

5. Students are not allowed to communicate any information or write to the press about

matters relating to the college administration without prior permission of the Principal.

6. Any act of tarnishing the reputation of the college and teachers will be viewed seriously.

7. Students collecting funds in the name of the college are strictly prohibited from doing so.

8. Any student found guilty of disobedience, misconduct or misbehavior or any other act of

serious indiscipline is liable either to lose his term or face expulsion from the college.

9. Students involved in any kind of violent behavior inside and outside college campus will

be handed over to police.

10. Students indulging in malpractices of what-so-ever nature including use of unfair means

at the examinations will be liable for disciplinary action as per the rules and procedures

laid down by Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994 and the Government of Maharashtra

Act No. XXXI of 1982.

11. Students must retain from ragging. Government of Maharashtra by resolution no.

tern/10967620/96 dated 06-09-1996 has notified ragging as a cognizable offence.

12. Smoking, chewing pan, tobacco or any kind of intoxicants is strictly prohibited as per

government directives. Students found indulging in such activities will face expulsion

from the college.
