From the German silentadaptation Nosferatu through to theblaxploitation classic Blacula and evena musical from Pakistan entitled ZindaLaash, Bram Stoker’s creation has proved surprisingly mutable. Thiscourse will explore these many lives ofDracula - showing how the characterevolves and mutates to fit new timesand different places.

For this season we are looking into the paranoiac side ofcinema with 5 week courses on Surveillance on Screenand Invasion Narratives in Sci-Fi. The best stories havealways relied on tapping into our fears and these twocinematic themes are rich for mining! Another perennialcinematic fear monger is Dracula- whose many lives arestudied in another of our courses.

Back by Popular Demand are Talk Cinema and BeginningScreenwriting - these courses were so popular they soldout almost instantly, so book early to avoid disappointment! We are also continuing our Aspects of European Cinemastrand with a 5 week course on German Expressionism.

Due to feedback from participants our taster courses havebeen expanded from an afternoon, to full day courses togive more time for practical experimentation in Animation,Film Making, and Home Recording - again early booking isessential. We are also offering an 8 week animation coursefor adults, and a Family Animation Day - where adults andkids can learn and create together.

Once again I would like to thank all previous participantsand Broadway customers for their continued support andinput for these courses - and if you have any comments orquestions, or if you have any suggestions of courses youwould like to see run her at Broadway, please get in touch.
