COVER TEMPLATESTo simplify the process of creating a customcover, WOLI Media Group offers 15 CoverTemplates. Using a Cover Template makes it easyto describe how you want photos, artwork, colors,and backgrounds used. Of course, if you haveother ideas, we can assist you. Order ourPublishing Kit for more details on creating acustom cover.

FIVE EASY STEPS TO USINGA COVER TEMPLATE1. Choose one of our Cover Templates on p. 4–18.Sample two-color and full-color covers areshown to demonstrate the variety of looks thatcan be achieved. Photos and bar codes on theback cover are optional.

2. Choose Design Package 1 or 2. See p. 3.

3. Choose background(s), images, and color(s).See p. 22 –24. If using Design Package 2, abackground may be submitted to be scanned aslong as it is not copyrighted. Each CoverTemplate has areas that are labeled A, B, C, D,etc. A key next to each template indicates whichdesign elements can be used in those areas.Indicate the element you want placed in eachlabeled area, as well as which color to use.Sections labeled with the same letter must usethe same color/background unless using DesignPackage 2. Another option is to let our artistchoose a background/color suitable for the cover.Just write “Artist’s Choice” for each labeled area.

4. Submit your own photo or illustration or choosefrom our online image library. See p. 19–21.Photos can be printed in one-color, as a duotone,or in full-color. They may also be cropped.Areas for photos or artwork can be moved andadjusted in size.

5. Supply the wording and indicate ink color andtypestyle(s) to be used. See p. 24–26. Each templatehas suggested areas for the title, subtitle,author name, and back cover text, but text canbe rearranged. Submit the Cover Template anduse it or a separate sheet to supply wording andspecifications. Another option is to let our artistchoose the typestyle and color. Just write “Artist’sChoice” next to the wording for each section.


DESIGN PACKAGESPrices for Design Packages are for design chargesonly and apply to any book binding or book size.There may be additional printing charges dependingon ink colors and the number of inks used.See p. 24.

DESIGN PACKAGE 2 ~ $175Cover Templates Using Threeor More Inks• Choose a Cover Template as shown on p. 4–18.• Cover Templates must be used as is, except forsize adjustments to photo/illustration areas.

• Cover will be printed in multiple ink colors(2+ inks) or in full-color.• Provide wording and indicate typestyle(s) asshown on p. 25–26.• Choose backgrounds as shown on p. 22–23 orsubmit your own for scanning. Material mustnot be copyrighted; therefore, DO NOT submitscrapbook paper, greeting cards, etc.• Submit original photos and illustrations orchoose from our online image library. Imagescan be printed in one-, multiple-, or full-color.See p. 19– 21.• Photos can be manipulated by eliminating back-grounds,combining photos, or making duotones.• Color may be applied to illustrations.
