Q4: What business supports (federal, provincial and local) do you think

would be beneficial as we navigate this global challenge?

Answered: 42 Skipped: 5

10 respondents answered “ALL” meaning support from all 3 levels of government

• Financial assistance to remain open • assistance with paying ongoing bills like insurance, etc. with no income.• "Temporary Wage Subsidy• Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (If we reach 30% decrease in revenue)"• difficult to navigate• Moratorium on commercial rent, HST, beer production tax, eco tax• I've been very impressed with the way all 3 levels of government have been handling this. • Any help at this point• Unsure• federal, provincial and local. The impact is massive at this time. There is virtually no money coming into the

business. $0.00, nil, nothing• Continued financial support until start up can occur then assistance with for or through that process. • all levels of support, need to work together on education, spending, support, boosting economy and health of

communities

Q4: What business supports (federal, provincial and local) do you think

would be beneficial as we navigate this global challenge?

Answered: 42 Skipped: 5

• Running out of money to pay bills property insurance, equipment payments and bills.• provincial• Not sure• Anything financially to support business owners, not lump us into the same category as everyone else. The only

support thus far from the government is a measly $2000 month of which there's no insight as to when we'll even get that. Government is making the rich get richer by offering money and supports to the same businesses that are open still and already tripling their money, now they get 75% of wage subsidy back in their pockets. Here I sit with many others in the community unable to be open as we aren't essential and just watch all I've worked for slowly disappear. Small businesses have been offered easy access to debt( loans). Who wants to incure more debt only to eventually start working and play catch up for 2 years all the while the banks profit off our interests and we pay double back. I'm seeing money being given the seniors, people on disabilities and low income families....why the situations haven't changed for these people. The retired get their money and are living as usual, the poor get supports and have good bank options and same for disabilities. Now their getting more money to do same as always. Why up child tax benefit and credit? Money is being disbursed to everyone but not everyone is suffering or in the same boat. It's extremely frustrating and I for one as a small business owner am disgusted with the government lack of support ,confusing information and lull in coming up with a plan.

• Where it stands, the current support doesn't help any small business with payroll less than $50,000 annually, so I am having to rely on the $2000 benefit to pay all my business bills, while my business remains shut down for the foreseeable future, while also juggling personal bills and financial needs.

• The only one that makes sense is the 75% wage subsidy. I am going to have to train an entirely new workforce. The wage subsidy will help take the bite out of that.

• Financial support to avoid bankruptcy • Support for charitable organizations relying on donations to survive which have come to a halt.• 75% wage subsidy is critical which is in place, waiting for details to be announced (maximum per employer, maximum

period, how is it received)• An elimination (not a deferral) on municipal tax until the province lifts the closure of non-essential business. Rent

supports for tenants so landlords still receive payment.• Seed money to keep making my payments as we wait this thing out • Financial Resources• Something for self-employed equine farms.• Local• Unsure at this moment• Have no idea

Q6 - What business supports (federal, provincial and local) do you think would

be beneficial as we navigate this global challenge?42 Answered 5 Skipped

- Support to cover rent costs for small businesses that are completely closed and making zero income due to COVID 19.

- For a small business as mine, as an owner operator, I would highly recommend that the government locally as well as provincially, allow seasonal workers to go to work while still maintaining social distancing. If we are not allowed to do our work soon I fear the worst for the local economy. Haldimand county consists mainly of small to medium-sized businesses and many are not allowed to work.

- grants for small business similar to CERB - Commercial tax relief for business portion of property tax - Debt forgiveness. Immediate wage subsidy. Promoting to stay local and buy local. - letting us open/operate with restrictions for safety so we dont go bankrupt. Many seniors live in close quarters

buildings that are not safe as opposed to campgrounds where the trailers are safer to get to because of no shared hallways ,parking or elevators.
