General description

GeneralThis product is designed for outdoor location and is intended for refrigerants that arenot aggressive in contact with copper. The product is provided with axial fans and thecasing is made of aluzink AZ185 as standard.

ImportantDo not allow the product to be covered by foreign objects when in operation.Unobstructed circulation of air is necessary to achieve the highest cooling capacity.The coil surface area must be clean.

Receiving and mountingThe product has been checked and approved according to our quality system andfunctionality has been tested before leaving the factory. If damages due totransportation are detected on the product, please contact the sales office withoutdelay.

Assembly1. Move the product to the place ofinstallation before removing the packing.

2. The cooler is provided with lifting lugs.Lifting should be done according to theinstructions on the cooler.

3. The legs on XPM and CPM aremounted in the transport mode duringtransportation. They are to be fitted in thetwo upper pair of holes on the leg.

4. Bolt the product direct onto a firmbase, or with vibration pads, through thepre-drilled mounting holes.

Assembly1. Lift down the product on a stablesupport under each leg.N.B. The support is not includedThe support shall be at least 3500 mmlong, 100 mm thick and 200 mm widely.

2. Folding down cautious the product soit lays down plane to the support.

3. N:B: Watch out for the connections.

4. Lift the product right up.The legs are mounted in the transportmode during transportation. They are tobe fitted in the two upper pair of holeson the leg.Remove the protections of the pitch.

InstallationInstallations may only be made byauthorised persons and in conformancewith national standards.

The cooler may not be connected toother voltage or frequency than itsrated data.

Connecting the fan

XPM/CPM is to be connected to thesafety switch as follows:Unscrew the screws (1) with ascrewdriver and remove the cover (2).Connect the cable through the screwfitting (3) on the side of the cover.

N.B. Ensure that the fan rotates in thedirection indicated by the arrow.

Setting the motor protectorThe maximum value of current at–30º C is indicated on the rating plate.Refer to the diagram for dimensioningof over-current protection at otherambient temperature. The over-currentprotection should have an adjustmentrange of ±20 %.

InstallationThe following instructions should be read together with the technical leaflet.

LocationPlace the product so that air can pass freely over the entire coil surface and ifpossible so that the wind direction won´t create recirculation of hot air.This applies particularly to models that have low fanspeed.The product is to be mounted on a firm base and secured with foundation bolts.The frame of the product has pre-drilled holes.

1Tube installation for CPM

The product is to be filled with the amountand type of refrigerant stated by theinstallation engineer. The connection tubesare located on the short side of the unit.

The hot-gas inlet is to be connectedto tube (1).The liquid outlet is to be connectedto tube (2).

Tube installation for XPM

The product is to be filled with the amountand type of brine stated by the installationengineer. The connection tubes are locatedon the short side of the unit.

The air vent is at the highest point of theheader (1).The tube inlet is to be connectedto tube (2).The tube outlet is to be connectedto tube (3).The drainplug (4) is located at the bottomof the header.

Preventive maintenance Warning. Make sure that the power supply is disconnected

Changing the fan / motor 80X / 91X1. Switch OFF the safety switchand lock it.

2. Unscrew the fastening screws of theprotective cover (1) and remove it.

3. Loosen the screw (2) and washer in thefan hub and pull off the impeller (3). Apuller must be used to do this.

4. Fit an eyebolt (4) in the top of the motorshaft.

5. Disconnect the electric cable from themotor terminal box (5). The motor weightsfrom 15 to 30 kg. Lifting tackle isrecommended.

6. Unscrew the screws (6) that holds themotor (7) to the motor shelf (8). Lift outthe motor.

Assemble in the reverse order.

StandstillDuring long periods when the unit is notin operation the fans should be run at leastfour times a month. They are to be rununtil the motor reaches normal workingtemperature, i.e., for about 15 minutes.

Changing the fan unit (80Q)

1. Switch OFF the safety switchand lock it.

2. Disconnect the electric cable from thefan unit terminal box (1). The fan unitweights is 35 kg. Lifting tackle isrecommended.

3. Unscrew the screws (2) that hold the fan.Lift out the fan unit by using stropsunder the fan brackets (3).

StandstillDuring long periods when the unit is notin operation the fans should be run atleast four times a month. They are to berun until the motor reaches normalworking temperature, i.e., for about 15minutes.

Assemble the fan unit (80Q)

1. Lift the fan unit back and fit the screws (2).

2. Connect the electric cable in the fan units terminal box. (1).

3. Unlock the safety switch and switch ON.

Cleaning the coil surface

1. Coils that are lightly soiled can becleaned by carefully brushing andblowing with compressed air.

2. Then wash the coil battery with waterand environment-friendly detergent thatdoes not corrode aluminium or copper.Ammoniac may not be used.

3. Rinse and dry.

Caution

Always wear protective gloves whencleaning or in contact with the coilsurface.
