St. Boniface Family Formation (Grades K-6 Religious Education)

All families that have students in K-6 for the 2021-22 term are invited to check out Family Formation. If you want to know more about the Family

Formation program see www.familyformation.net. Once each month, on a Wednesday, families attend Mass together at 6:30 pm at St. Boniface Church, students go with their catechist from 7-8 pm for class time, and parents attend Father Vogel's talk on the topic for that month. The following Wednesday 5-6 pm is a class just for students and catechists. Families complete at-home lessons you get in a packet each month. For more information, or if your family would like to enroll, contact coordinator Becky Kerkman at 402-843-6043 or [email protected]. The program handbook and registration forms are online at https://cppnebraska.org/faith/#formation Registration is due by June 20.

Prayer for Priests O Jesus, our great High Priest, hear my humble prayers on behalf of your priests. Give them a deep faith, a bright and firm hope and a burning love which will increase in the course of their priestly life. Amen.

As many might not know, Father Vogel has a hobby where he photographs gravestones at the cemeteries, in order to provide permanent data to the website billiongraves.com. After Father

Vogel uploads the photos, other volunteers transcribe them. He has taken over 370,000 photos in more than 670 cemeteries in 6 states, with the vast majority in Nebraska. This includes the cemeteries in our family of parishes. He has also linked each cemetery of ours to its Billiongraves search page at www.cppnebraska.org/cemetery/ At the top of the webpage there is a “How Do I” link. Click on that and then the last option, “Plan Funeral Services & Find Graves”. At the bottom is a Cemetery Information button, click the arrow at the bottom and view the different Cemeteries. From this point, you can put in the person’s name to search and a picture of the tombstone is shown. Also, you are able to view other cemeteries and gravesites elsewhere on Billion Graves.com. Thank you, Father Vogel!
