What is CPR?
Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation
an emergency procedure in whichthe heart and lungs are made to
workmanually compressing the chestoverlying the heart and forcingair into the lungs
used to maintain circulation when
the heart stops pumping, usuallybecause of disease, drugs, ortrauma

2 Methods of CPR
The Silvester Method patient is laid on
their back, their
arms are raised
above their head to
aid inhalation and
then pressed against
their chest to aid
exhalation
repeated sixteen
times per minute

ISSUE #1: Why did the
Coast Guard ship sank?
DECISIO N: The Coast Guard ship
sank because of the hole made
when the merchant vesselcollided with them

ISSUE #2: What do you think is the
reason why the Coast Guard ship didn¶t
changed its location even after the
collision?
DECISIO N: The Coast Guard ship
has a higher momentum than
the merchant vessel that¶s
why it stays in its location
even after they collided.

Density
At first the density of the ship isless dense than the water that¶s
why it is floating. But when themerchant vessel hit it and made adeep hole the weight of the shipchanges. Because of the water thatentered the ship, its density
increases which is now greaterthan the density of water causingit to sink.

Momentum
It is simple expressed as, the
higher the mass, the higher is its
momentum . It might be the reason
why the ship doesn¶t change its
location even after the pressure
caused by the collision. The ship
has greater mass than the merchant
vessel so it has greater momentum .

Law of Interaction
The law of interaction states
that for every action there
is an equal and oppositereaction. When rendering CPR,
you exert force to the chest
of the patient, then the
force constantly bounce back
to your palms.
