INTRODUCTION
CREA TALENTS is an open&free Architecture Ideas Competition, sponsored by The Economic Development & Culture Committee.The objective of the competition is to provide maximum freedom to the participants to engage the project without constraints in the most creative way.
The goal of the competition is :
• To explore boundaries. To break down walls. To
encourage creativity and stimulate innovative
design idea.
• Provides young talents and conceptual thinkers
with a platform and opportunities to be seen and
heard by engaging in international projects.

Language: English
Entries: Open to everyone in the world
(architects, students, engineers etc.)
Submissions can be made by individuals
or teams.

Background:
With beautiful scenery and many wineries, Huailai, one of the most ancient wine
region in China, is attracting more and more tourists and wine lovers. This wine
centre aims to promote wine tourisme by providing visitors with a lively journey
around a world of wine and culture. It will be a must-see experience during the
stay in Huailai, but also a place to go for residents of the region.
The project vision:
Participants are invited to come up with visionary concepts for a Wine Culture
Center . Designers are free to include all the functions all in one building, or
designing separate structures, striving to create a dialogue between man and nature
through architecture.The ideas can be as fantastical or as grounded as you see fit.
We are not looking to judge proposals on their feasibility, but on the extent to
which they have the potential to be a landmark.
Project Brief
The Wine Culture Center:Located near the vineyards,the Wine Culture Center acts as a multifunctional place for the visitors, composed of several different sectors with both cultural and commercial functions.
The heart of the center is a wine museum where the visitors can explore the culture and cilvilisation of wine. After finishing the exibition, all visitors can go to a wine tasting space to have a free wine while enjoying the view of the vignyard.
In addition to the wine museum , a variety of service is offered by the Wine Culture Center, such as restaurants, hotels, shops and galleries etc, which makes the center a unique social and cultural destination for all the visitors.
Competition Site
• For it is an architecture ideas competition, candidates could just ignore the surrounding buildings and roads.
• As shows in the picture below,there are no set site boundaries. The site could be treated as an open flatland.
• The site area of the project is flexible. Candidates can design the building complex with a site area maximum 6.66 Ha.

• The Wine Culture Center is composed with 5 functional parts. It's up to participants to arrange the spacial organization.
• The designers are only tasked to design the form and the structure of the buildings.
• The design of the interior space is free and is not included in the competition program restrictions.
• The combination of the buildings and water landscape is recommended.
*The figures are provided to give the designer a better understanding of the scale of the project, and proportions of the different parts, and do not need to be strictly applied.

Criteria
The jury may choose to reward projects that show a high degree of creativity, even if they breach any of the rules, as long as it’s justified.
Submission Requirements
• CV of the participant / all members of the group. (PDF)
• Biography of the individual or of the group. (PDF)
• A free expression document presenting the project in depth(PDF) 30 MB Max .
The most relevant image to represent your project, such as scale plan, elevations, sections, details, sketches and whatever else appropriate for a better presentation of the proposal.
No restrictions on presentation mode. Participants are allowed to use any color, drawing techniques, electronic models they deem appropriate.
The pages composing the book will include the written and graphic elements to present the project extensively.

Jury members
The jury will be comprised of academic
representatives of the related departments
of the Design and Architecture faculties,
International architects, representatives of
the sponsors and project director etc.

Duties
Before the results announcement, selected competition winners and honorable mentions will be contacted and asked to answer a series of interview questions or submit a video about themselves.
Eligibility
The competition is open to all. No professional qualifications are required. Design proposals can be developed individually or by teams .
People who have direct personal or professional relationships with jury panel members or organisers may not participate in this competition.
