Growing Together Craft Quarter 2 – Week 3

The Risen King He is Risen Windsock (Time Needed – 10 to 12 minutes) Materials: Windsock template, white cardstock paper, markers or crayons, glue or tape, hole puncher, string, ribbon. Activity Print the scene template onto cardstock paper. Color your scene with bright and cheerful colors! Tape or glue bands of ribbon along inside bottom edge of scene. Glue or tape sides together to create a cylinder/tube. Punch two holes along the top edge of windsock tube. Tie string in holes to create a hanger. Hang outside and watch it flutter in the wind! Teaching with the Craft – Not only did Jesus die on the cross so we could be forgiven of our sins, but He also rose from the grave! God’s power rose Jesus from the dead. Jesus conquered death for US so that we could have eternal life! That means, when Jesus returns, we who believe and love Him, will be able to live forever with Him and all of the other believers and angels! Isn’t this amazing! This gift of a RISEN SAVIOR makes us want to celebrate and praise! Let’s make our windsock and fly it outside where we can see it fly (rejoice) in the wind! Praise the Lord, HE IS RISEN!
