Page 2: CREATE & POST PDF VERSION BEFORE file · Web viewSubmissions & Queries Our Web Site Un-Subscribe here

Lyric only sheets can be Single (one song) or Full (all the songs in one document).  They can also be General (useable by all sections) or Sectional (words of one section emphasized).

If you create a lyrics only sheet for yourself and find it so useful that you'd like to share it with other members of your section feel free to submit it to me for posting in our web site’s Current Singers Only section.

If there is already a sheet posted that is similar in intent to yours but different in presentation submit yours as well and let interested members choose which format works best for them.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DENIS'S POETRY WORKSHOP HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO APRIL 10/11

THE SECRET LIFE OF POEMS:A Poetry Workshop With Denis

Over two sessions, Denis will gently guide you to deepen your own dialogue with the ancient and honoured poetic tradition. Working with poems mainly from the 20th century, he will explore the ways that poetry works both on the page and within us, and how it can enlighten and enliven our own passages.

Denis will focus mainly on poems that are inspired by the natural world. By considering such aspects of poetry as image, sound, form, syntax and allusion, we will seek to broaden into a tradition that, at its heart, carries the wisdom of humanity, if only we are able to find a way beyond its sometimes opaque surface.

Length: 1 evening, 1 dayTime: Fri Apr. 10, 7 pm to 9 pm; Sat Apr. 11, 10 am to 5 pm

Cost: $125 + applicable taxes.  250.391.2513 or  http://cstudies.royalroads.ca/courses/TAEA3926-Y14

The Victoria Conservatory of Music’sMOTHER’S DAY MUSICAL GARDEN TOUR

Former GHC Tuesday Soprano Jean Anderson passed on some information about this Conservatory fundraising event.

Her garden is one of the ten beautiful gardens on the tour. For a photo and description click here.

According to the Music Conservatory’s web site tickets with addresses of the gardens will go on sale in the first week of April. As of this writing on April 3rd, however, their Ticket Rocket online purchase page is visible but not activated. Since it is the Easter weekend it probably won’t be activated until sometime next week. Keep checking until it is.

They will also be available both at the Conservatory and from these area merchants (if not now then soon).

If you make a last minute decision you can even buy your ticket at Jean’s garden gate on May 9 th or 10th.

Children under twelve are free & Adults $30

Bonus: Your Garden Tour ticket entitles you to $10 off the purchase price of a ticket for Daniel Lapp’s Joy of Life concert on Sunday May 10th, 2015.

Submitted but Bill Hanson GHC Bass etc. (in support of the conservatory and of Jean’s obvious satisfaction with the garden she has created)

My daughter Clare is dancing at Maple Leaf School of Ballet and this is an invitation to support our Chance to Dance spring fundraiser by purchasing hanging baskets or bedding plants as a Mother’s day gift or for your garden.

The scholarship program at Maple Leaf supports all dancers and ensures that no child who wants to dance will be turned away due to lack of funds. Everyone deserves a chance to dance.

Please sponsor me in BOWL FOR KIDS SAKE APRIL 10, 2015

Big Brothers Big Sisters in Victoria matches about 500 children to improve their lives. We have 100 children on the waiting list. Most are boys and stay on that list for up to 2 years. We have volunteers but not the resources to set up the matches. Making a match is an important step and great care must be taken. We are raising money to reduce that waiting list.

I'm bowling in the 2015 Bowl for Kids Sake for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria on April 10 and I'd like you to sponsor me. You can do it online and will automatically get a tax receipt.   http://bowlforkidssakevictoria.kintera.org/mikewyeth

SEEKING JOB OPPORTUNITIES ON THE PATH TO UNIVERSITY

My son Ben decided to become a Marine Biologist. Now in his early 30s he has worked full time since his early teens so he has pre-requisite educational requirements to catch up on. The first step on his new path is to find suitable work that can sustain him while he does so.

He has worked for 2 different choir members (6+ years each), he has a very strong work ethic, is a flexible quick learner and has a range of transferrable skills. Please check out his resume to see if he might be a suitable employee for you or someone you know.

Please sponsor me in BOWL FOR KIDS SAKE 2015  (April 10)

Explore such aspects of poetry as image, sound, form, syntax and allusion, seeking to broaden into a tradition that at its heart carries the wisdom of humanity, if only we are able to find a way beyond its sometimes opaque surface.
