User Roles & Permissions
Course Formats • You can set up your course and present
information many number of ways in Moodle. Some common ways:– PPT file – simply uploading the presentation file itself.– Book format – TOC (table of contents) on the left
and ability to move forward and backwards.– Lesson format – more stringent controls. Can only
move forward. Can embed questions within the course.

Can only move forward within the course.
May be required to answer questions correctly before
moving on.

Forward & Back arrows for navigation.
Course Formats• Consider and select the best format for your
content.• Consider what other features and content you
may wish to include:– Quizzes – Polls– Surveys (Feedback on the Course)– Embedded Multimedia – video, audio, etc.– Glossary– Discussion / News Forums– Wikis
Adding Content• Add Resources
– Book– Label– Web page– Links, etc.
• Add Activities– Lesson– Forums– Glossaries– Assignments– Questionaires,– (and much more..)
Adding Content1. “Turn Editing On” (if not already in edit
mode.)
2. Select the content type you wish to add (either a Resource or Activity)
3. Add and edit the content.
4. Adjust as needed with the editing icons (indent, reorder, set as hidden, etc.)
