Policy documents: Strategy on innovation 2012-2020 (adopted in 2012) Law on innovation activity (adopted 2013) Establishment of Fund for innovations and technology development (2013) Action plan on Strategy on Innovation (2013-2015) Action plan on Strategy on Innovation (2016-2018), FITD new policy measures: Equity funding for innovation, Technical assistance for innovation and tech transfer, technology incubators etc. Strategic plan of FITD 2017-2019 (adopted January 2017) Rulebooks for innovation support instruments

Support Instruments 1.Co-financing grants for newly established enterprises: start-up and spin-off – instrument for financing PROOF OF CONCEPT

2.Co-financing grants and conditional loans for commercialization of innovations

3.Co-financing grants for technology extension (to be launched in 07. 2018)

4.Co-financing grants for establishment, operation and investments of business-technology accelerator (to be launched in July 2018)

In December 2016 for Proof of concept were awarded 4 grants (of which 2 to academic spin offs) and 15 in January 2018 (8 Start ups and 7 Technology commercialization)

Preparation of Feasibility study for mapping of the innovation ecosystem in Macedonia and design and implementation of new innovation policy instruments (EUIF)

Preparation of Feasibility study and design of new instrument technical assistance for enhancing RDI in the private sector (EUIF)

Preparation of Feasibility study for establishment of a science technology park (EUIF)
