Creative Commons WebQuest

IntroductionA major art studio from Paris is looking to branch out into the digital age. They are searching for the next great piece of digital artwork. It is their hope that this artwork will inspire others to begin creating wonderful works of art in the digital realm. Perhaps most importantly, they are willing to pay handsomely for the winning piece of art. You are a young, broke, up and coming artist. This contest may be your big break (and lets face it, you could use the money).

TaskYour job is to create a piece of art using PhotoShop or any other photo editing tool you can find. This will be accompanied by a short paper which will explain the type of Creative Commons license you chose and why. Since you are now familiar with copyright laws be sure you give credit to the original authors if you decide to edit photos. You will begin by researching and learning about Creative Commons so you know which of their licenses best suites your needs.

The second link will take you to a website that lists all of the different CC licenses. You will be filling out the document that you downloaded at the beginning of the lesson.http://creativecommons.org/videos/creative-commons-kiwi http://creativecommons.org/licenses/You should now have all the information you need to write your paper. Remember, you must choose a specific CC license and explain your rationale.
