Creative Incentives and Ideas for Funding
Allegany County Public Schools
Creative Incentives:
Every 2-3 weeks the Mousetrap Store (store on a cart) makes its rounds of classrooms.
Westernport Elementary (No Claws, Just Paws)
Computer time
Lunch with a teacher, principal, counselor or custodian
Lunch with principal at McDonalds
Students can contribute Paws to classroom paws stash. Class can earn a movie and popcorn or pizza for 75 paws.
At the end of each month, one student’s name is drawn from the Paws in each classroom. Students are treated to a free meal at McDonald’s.
Classes in each grade are awarded monthly for “Purrfectly Good Behavior.”– Banner– Extra playtime

At weekly drawing, students choose a prize for self and for teacher who gave them the Key. Parents contribute “gently used” toys and games.
Staff search yard sales and donate items.
