Creative Place Making • Creative place making is a way of
helping shape and reshape the values, meanings, and emotional bonds with a place in a way that empowers people.
• It’s people in the community storying themselves into connections with each other, the land, their towns and cities, and their homes and neighborhoods.

Chalkboard Campaign • Install chalkboards in the community in different places. • Leave them blank, and don’t give out chalk. See what happens. • After awhile, write in the corner: “Got chalk?”
See what happens. • Maybe provide chalk. See what happens • Take regular photos and post to a website, the
address of which is given near each chalkboard. • Make it possible for others to upload pictures of
things that show up on the boards.
