Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd (CCG)

• Cafodd CCG ei sefydlu yn Ebrill 2010 ar ôl trosglwyddo stoc tai o ofal Cyngor Gwynedd. • CCG was established in April 2010 after the transfer of housing stock from Gwynedd

Council.

• Cymdeithas Dai sy’n gyfrifol am tua 6,300 o gartrefi yng Ngwynedd. • Housing Association with nearly 6,300 homes across Gwynedd.

• Gwaith mwyaf ar hyn o bryd yw gwella ein cartrefi fel eu bod yn cyrraedd Safon Ansawdd Tai Cymru, safon sydd wedi ei osod gan Lywodraeth Cymru.

• Current major work is to make sure all our homes meet the Welsh Housing Quality Standard, a standard set by the Welsh Government.

• 5 contractwr, 2 gyflenwr yn ogystal â’n gweithlu mewnol ‘Tîm Trwsio’ yn gweithio ar y rhaglen welliannau.

• 5 contractors, 2 suppliers as well as our internal ‘Tîm Trwsio’ working on the improvement programme.

• Tua 290 o staff yn gweithio mewn 7 swyddfa a 2 depo mewn gwahanol adrannau. • Around 290 staff working at 7 offices and 2 depots across various departments.

CCG and Community Benefits

Cymalau Craidd a Di-Graidd Cymdeithasol wedi ychwanegu ymhob contract SATC sydd gan CCG gyda’i contractwyr. Core and Non-core Social Clauses inserted into every WHQS contract that CCG has with our contractors

Cymalau Craidd yn cyfeirio at gyflogi hyfforddai a prentisiaid. • 15% o holl weithlu’r contractwyr yn gorfod bod yn ‘new entrants into training’. • Sicrhau fod 52 wythnos hyfforddiant yn cael ei greu i bod £1M o wariant. • Cael ei fonitro yn fisol gyda DPA penodol (DPA 10 – Hyfforddiant a Chyflogaeth). Core clauses refer to the employment of trainees and apprentices • 15% of our contractors workforce have to be ‘new entrants into training ‘ • Ensure that 52 ‘apprentice trainee weeks’ are generated per £1M spend. • Monitored monthly with a specific KPI (KPI 10 – Training & Employment)

Cymalau di-graidd yn cyfeirio at fuddion cymunedol ehangach – disgwyliad i holl gontractwyr ymrwymo i weithgareddau / buddion cymunedol a chefnogi grwpiau cymunedol trwy gyfuniad o’r canlynol: • Cyfrannu deunyddiau. • Cyfrannu amser staff / llafur. • Cefnogi grwpiau cymunedol. • Cyfraniadau ariannol. Problemau…

Issues…

CCG wedi apwyntio llawer o gontractwyr ‘crefft penodol’ bach a chanolig (SME’s) yn ogystal a prîf gontractwr i ymgymryd a gwaith WHQS. CCG have appointed several ‘trade specific’ SME contractors as well as a main contractor to undertake WHQS work.

Contractwyr SME yn ei chael hi’n anodd i ymrywmo i’r cysyniad o fuddion cymunedol – dim profiad blaenorol o fuddion cymunedol fel ein prif gontractwr. SME’s found it difficult to engage into the concept of community benefits – no previous experience of working on a contract of this scale and had no previous experience of working in an ‘added value’ environment.

Angen meddwl am ffordd i ymrwymo’r contractwyr SME mewn buddion cymunedol trwy gyd-weithio gydail gilydd. Needed to think of a way to engage the SME’s into community benefits and also by co-operating with each other.

Swm Budd Cymunedol

Community Investment Sum Cytuno y byddai’r contractwyr SME yn cyfrannu Swm Budd Cymunedol i fewn i bot canolog – iw wario yn ol disgresiwn CCG yn benodol i greu cyfleoedd buddion cymunedol. Agreed that our SME contractors would contribute a Community Investment Sum that was to be spent at CCG’s discretion, solely for the purposes of delivering community benefit opportunities.

Y swm gafodd ei gyfrannu yn 0.25% o werth pob contract am flwyddyn 2012/13 a oedd yn golygu fod gennym Swm Budd Cymunedol gwerth odduetu £30,000. The sum contributed was 0.25% of each contract or AMP (Agreed Maximum Price) for 2013/13 meaning that we had a Community Investment Sum of approximately £30,000.

Penderfynnwyd ddefnyddio’r arian i greu cynllun ysgoloriaeth newydd o’r enw ‘Adeiladu Profiad’ gyda ffocws ar adeiladwaith It was decided to use the money to create a brand new scholarship scheme called ‘Building Experience’ that had a clear focus on construction.

Recriwtio yn uniongyrchol o bŵl myfyrwyr ail flwyddyn ‘Diploma mewn Adeiladwaith ar Amgylchedd Adeiladu’ (estynedig a isradd) Coleg Menai. Recruited directly from Coleg Menai’s pool of 2nd year students undertaking the ‘Diploma in Construction & the Built Environment’ (extended & subsidiary).

Recriwtio o’r ail flwddyn yn sicrhau fod y myfyrwyr yn dangos ymrwymiad i’r cwrs ac yn gwneud pethau’n haws o ran oedran, gyrru a.y.y.b . Recruiting from 2nd year ensured that the students were committed to the course and facilitated other elements such as age (young person risk assessment) and driving.

Prosiect Amgylcheddol

Environmental Project

Rhoddwyd 2 brosiect amgylcheddol i’r pedwar i weithio mewn parau i wella ardaloedd o amgylch sdâd Bro Syr Ifor, Tregarth, Bangor ac fflatiau Tan Y Mur, Caernarfon. Two environmental projects were given to the four to work in pairs to improve areas around Bro Syr Ifor estate in Tregarth, Bangor and Tan Y Mur flats in Caernarfon.

Brîff i’r ddau brosiect yn cynnwys gwella mynediad, gosod rheiliau llaw, darparu rampiau, gwella parcio ac unrhyw wellianau cyffredinol I&D. Brief for the two projects included improving access, installing hand rails, providing ramps, improve parking and any general H&S improvements.

Derbyn profiad gwaith gyda ymgynghorwr allanol am 3 diwrnod i ddatblygu’r dyluniad. Received placement with an external consultant for 3 days to develop design for both sites.

Environmental Project

Rhoddwyd cyfrifoldeb i’r myfyrwyr: • Sgopio’r safle. • Cynhyrchu mesuriadau. • Cynhyrchu dyluniad o’r safle ar CAD. • Ymgynghori a thenantiaid. • Datblygu ‘schedule of works’ i gontractwyr. • Gwerthuso tendrau a cynnig y gwaith . • Cyflwyno’r ddau gynllun i Banel Amgylcheddol CCG.

Students given responsibility to: • Scope both sites. • Produce measurements. • Design a proposed plan of the site on CAD. • Consult with tenants on proposed plan. • Produce a schedule of works for contractors and

tender out the work . • Evaluate tenders for contractors and award the work. • Present the two plans for CCG’s Environmental Panel.

Bwrsariaeth

Bursary Cynigir bwrsariaeth ariannol hyd at £500 i gefnogi datblygiad addysgol neu broffesiynol pellach i ymgeiswyr llwyddiannus sy’n cwblhau eu cyfnod profiad gwaith. A financial bursary of £500 will be offered towards supporting any further educational or professional development and will be given to candidates that have successfully completed their work placement. Bwrsariaeth yn cael ei ryddhau wedi cwblhau tymor o’r cymhwyster/gradd newydd ac yn ddibynnol ar adborth eich presenoldeb a’ch perfformiad chi fel unigolyn). Bursary will be released following completion of your first term of your new qualification/degree. (Dependent on feedback of attendance and performance of individual).

Canlyniadau…

Outcomes… Dau o’r myfyrwyr erbyn hyn wedi derbyn swydd llawn amser gyda Ymgynghoriaeth Gwynedd (Robat Williams) a Peirianneg Sifil Cadarn (Byron Thorne). Two of the students, Robat Williams and Byron Thorne, have now received full time posts with two other organisations: Gwynedd Consultancy and Cadarn Civil Engineering respectively.

Robat wedi derbyn y swydd o ganlyniad uniongyrchol o fod yn rhan o gynllun Adeiladu Profiad. Robat received his job as a direct consequence of being involved on the Building Experience scheme.

Rheon Jones a Joe Roberts wedi’i derbyn i’r brifysgol i wneud gradd mewn pensaerniaeth a peirianneg sifil. Rheon Jones and Joe Roberts have been accepted to university to undertake degrees in Architectural Design and Civil Engineering respectively

Canlyniadau…

Outcomes… Contractowyr a Darparwyr SATC CCG yn gallu bodloni eu cytundeb i fuddion cymunedol. CCG WHQS Contractors and Suppliers can satisfy their community benefit committments.

Llwyddiant y cynllun a cyfraniad hael ein contractwyr/cyflenwyr yn golygu y gallwn redeg y cynllun am y 2 flynedd nesaf. Success of scheme and generous contribution of our contractors/suppliers means that there is scope to run the scheme for next two years.

Bydd gwaith y myfyrwyr ar gyfer y ddau gynllun amgylcheddol yn cael eu defnyddio gan ein contractwyr gyda’r gwaith i gychwyn mis Hydref/Tachwedd 2014. The students work on the two environmental schemes will be used by CCG’s approved contractors and the construction phase is due to commence October/November 2014.
