INVITATION
It is a great pleasure to bring your attention to the 12th Congress of the World Federation of
Societies of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine in collaboration with the WFCCN and WFPICCS,
which will be held from August 29 to September 1, 2015, in Seoul, Korea.
Established in 1977, the WFSICCM is an organization comprised of over 70 societies of intensive
and critical care medicine and a combined individual membership of over 70,000 practitioners.
The WFSICCM Seoul 2015 is the second WFSICCM congress being held in Asia since the 5th
WFSICCM, which was held in Japan in 1989. Around 3,000 experts from 90 countries are
expected to participate in the congress in Seoul, making it a platform for in-depth discussions of
the latest research studies on intensive and critical care.
We believe that the WFSICCM Seoul 2015 will also be a platform for delivering practical support
and insight to participants under the theme, “One Step Further.” Various small group discussions
and workshops will be held, tailored to every level of intensive and critical care to complement
our scientific program. Additionally, it is our goal to encourage a larger number of intensive and
critical care practitioners from developing countries to attend this congress by lowering the
registration fee.
To offer a more comprehensive and specialized congress, we are pleased to organize an
exhibition in association with the WFSICCM Seoul 2015. We believe the exhibition will provide
great opportunities to promote your businesses through showcasing of the cutting-edge
medical equipment and technology, and sharing of the latest findings.
We always appreciate your contribution to intensive and critical care medicine, and dearly look
forward to your distinguished presence in the12th Congress of the World Federation of Societies
of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine in Seoul 2015.
Thank you.
With warmest regards,
KOH Younsuck, M.D., Ph.D., FCCM Chairman, WFSICCM Seoul 2015 Organizing CommitteeProfessor, Medicine, Medical Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, University of Ulsan College of Medicine
