Manufactured under strictlycontrolled conditions, Crittallwindows are galvanized toprovide protection againstcorrosion. During this process, thesteel is coated with zinc toprevent rust. When the cleanedsteel is dipped into molten zinc, aseries of zinc-iron alloy layers arebuilt up by a reaction between thezinc and the iron. It is this strongbond between the steel and thecoating that gives Crittall framestheir strength and durability.
